" Romica Ictal. I am from the free city of E'ctoa. Currently, I am 28 years old and I am single by the way."
She winked at Licht who was examining the potions. Licht momentarily stopped his movement with confusion and bewilderment because he never thought she would dare to seduce him in front of Regina. Regina seemed to be used to this type of situation as she silently grabbed her hand and strengthened her grip.
Crack*
The bones made squawking noises as Romica wriggled with pain when she tried to free herself from this female gorilla. Fortunately, Regina let her go and continued to inspect her goods.
" Let's be honest, Romica. You probably have some beef with the guilds, so I don't want to burden you, but I will offer you a job. The good thing is we will pay even more than here and you will live comfortably for the rest of your life. However, there is a weak point too. You will live in the western continent with us and we can't guarantee your safety all the time because of our identity, but don't worry we will regard you as a family."
Regina offered her a chance to join her squad because she valued her talent. If you think about their squad formation, they had perfect combat abilities with great potential to face any enemy, but when it came to the supply and support side, they had no one except Licht and Cynthia who could use enchantment magics.
So, they needed people who could do some support and manufacturing work for them. Besides, they were funded by the country and they could do odd jobs for money. Hence, she believed she could supply sufficient resources for them.
" Um, can I think for a moment? Although I may be an outcast, this place is still my home and this country has many important people in my life."
She didn't agree, but she didn't deny it. Honestly, she was struggling to make an end of her daily life due to money sharks. She almost paid off her debt, but still, there were things that she had to consider before going. Furthermore, she didn't know about their identity and goal.
" I understand then. Here is our address. We will leave in 3 days for the capital."
Regina handed them their address while leaving with Licht who waved at her. Romica gently raised her hand with a complicated look, not knowing what to do despite being an alchemist and a mercenary. She was confident about her ability to tell other's thoughts and she viewed them as good people unlike most people here.
" That was interesting, captain. I never thought you would consider my proposal."
Licht commented his thoughts honestly while looking sideways to find good items. Most of them were just so-so in his eyes and he could get some really good items from the north where cold weapons smiting flourished.
The biggest jackpot he would able to get here were either elemental artifacts or divine items which were extremely rare and hard to get his hand on. As a continent with a rich history and market, countless artifacts were flowing through the hands of merchants.
" How much is it?"
Licht stopped walking, picking up a red crystal with indifference. The vendor seemed to seizing up his capabilities as he brushed his beard with a wretched smile.
" 30 gals, young man. I will give you at 25."
The vendor spoke with a smile, hiding his sinister intention, but little did he know that this crystal was crystallization of flame mana which could only be found in flame-rich lands where people rarely dared to venture.
" I will pay it. Do you have mana silver?"
Licht asked calmly while handing him exactly 3 gold coins. The vendor laughed at his remark as he realized this man was a foreigner because mana silver was a precious metal that was strictly managed by churches.
" Boy, we don't sell them here. If you want one go to the auction in the capital since our auction has been closed since yesterday. We won't open until next month."
The vendor smiled while handing his change. Licht nodded at him and got his money with a perplexed look.
