Chapter 2: KIARA LARASATI DARWANTO

From a distance, you can see a beautiful girl running after the bus that almost left her.

"Sir, sir!" she shouted repeatedly calling for the bus from behind and hoping someone would hear him from inside.

"Sir, sir stop!"

Luck was on his side, the bus driver saw someone running after him from the side mirror and immediately stopped the bus and waited for the beautiful girl to board.

"Hurry up!" commanded the conductor who was already standing waiting at the bus door.

The girl quickly got into the bus and looked for an empty seat to sit. "Fortunately I still managed to catch the bus, just a second late for class, Hitler's teacher could kill me," she said in his heart, smiling to himself at the thought of Hitler's teacher who would teach him later.

"Miss the fare?" the conductor who was already standing beside his seat asked for the fare.

"Eh yes, just make this Mr. surprise. Assalamualaikum, let me not be surprised," replied the girl smiling while handing over the fare money.

"Ah, Miss is nothing," replied the conductor smiling.

"In the morning, don't daydream a lot, Miss. Your neighbor's chicken yesterday died from daydreaming a lot," he continued smiling.

"Oh yes, then?" the girl asked curiously.

"Yes. Daydreaming about not being fed, dying of hunger," he answered again as he walked away to another chair to collect the fare.

Other passengers who overheard their chat secretly smiled at the girl's conversation with the conductor.

"This man is annoying," the girl grumbled to herself.

It wasn't long before the conductor shouted. "School of Hope of the Nation, anyone dropped in here?!"

"There is! Stop Mr. Driver!!" the girl shouted.

The girl hurriedly got off the bus, and immediately ran towards the gate because she saw the guard was about to lock the school gate.

"Sir, wait! Don't lock it!" the girl shouted.

The guard immediately looked in the direction of the voice that called out to him.

"Miss Kiara, late again?" asked the school caretaker.

"Yes sir," replied Kiara.

"Hurry up Miss come in, the bell has been ringing since 2 minutes ago."

"Thank you, sir."

Kiara immediately entered the gate and ran toward her classroom.

"Hopefully Hitler's teacher isn't in class yet," Kiara muttered.

After passing through several classes in a hurry, he finally arrived in front of his class.

"Oh my God, help me. I hope Teacher Hitler isn't in class yet," she muttered to himself.

Standing in front of her class, Kiara ventured to knock on the door.

There was no answer from inside the classroom, only the sound of children talking as if they were talking.

For a long time, there was no answer from inside, Kiara finally opened the door, and it turned out that there was no teacher inside.

"Kiara!!" shouted a shrill female voice looking towards the open classroom door.

The other students also looked towards the door. Kiara casually entered and walked towards her seat.

"What's wrong with this morning, Princess? Every day late," one of the students spoke from behind.

"Yes, every day late. Si Kiara must first deliver the cake to the stalls," answered another student.

Kiara, who was teased by her friends, was silent, not paying attention to what they were saying. For her, it's just a waste of energy if you have to serve their unimportant chatter.

"Kiara, why are you late again?" asked the woman who owned the shrill voice.

"Sure," Kiara replied flatly.

"You have had breakfast?" asked his friend again.

"Not yet. I didn't have time for breakfast. Early in the morning, I have to go to the market to deliver cakes," Kiara explained.

"I brought bread," said his friend. "If you want, just eat," she continued offering.

"Can?" asked Kiara looking at her friend.

"Of course, would I lie?" replied his friend taking out school lunches that were neatly wrapped. "Here, eat! My mother's toast."

"Thank you, Silvi. You are my best friend in the world," said Kiara, hugging her best friend tightly.

"You're crazy, you know! Let go of Kiara!! Your hugs are so tight, you want to kill me?!" Silvi protested trying to escape. "Let go of Kiara! I'm still normal, still like men!"

Kiara just laughed happily seeing her best friend grumble after getting out of his arms.

"Crazy, I almost broke my bones," said Silvi as she straightened her uniform.

"Just so angry," Kiara replied with her hands ready to ruffle Silvi's hair.

"Kiara stop!! I'll take the food back if you don't stop!" Silvi threatened.

"Ok, ok, I stop. I ate the bread, thanks." Kiara stopped bothering her best friend after receiving threats to take the bread back.

"Hmm," Silvi answered with a clear cough.

"Eh, why didn't the teacher come in earlier?" asked Kiara who just realized after a while no teacher came in.

"Today the teacher didn't come in," answered Silvi.

"Why?" asked Kiara again.

"He said he was sick but we were given the assignment to do some questions," Silvi explained.

"Oh, I see. That's good!" Kiara answered slowly.

After finishing the toast from Silvi, Kiara immediately took out her textbook and followed her friend who had already worked on the questions given by her teacher.

"Today we are liberated from Teacher Hitler," someone chimed in from the backseat.

"Yes," answered another.

"There is a teacher or not, it's the same," said another.

"This Hitler gave me a lot of assignments."

"It's not Hitler if you don't give a lot of assignments, just the nickname Hitler," said another.

Hearing her classmates who were talking to each other talking about her teacher, Kiara just shook her head listening to it.

"Hey, you guys know you don't!" shouted a female student who immediately stood up from her seat.

"Not!" answered all the students in unison.

"Listen!!" Continued a female student in a loud voice. "I heard that there will be a new female student in our class."

"Beautiful isn't it?" Asked the boy sitting in the far corner.

"Listen to women, you immediately grabbed like gasoline, Do Do Do ...," said the girl by calling her friend's last name.

"Can you not? Calling my name doesn't need to be added like that, Karin," answered Dodo disapprovingly.

"Mathematics, ah, add more," Karin replied while teasingly sticking her tongue out at Dodo.

"How did you know there would be a new student?" another asked.

"Don't you know? Karin is gossip, the source of gossip. If she is not in class, it means she is gossiping in another class," teased Dodo, which was immediately greeted by laughter from his other friends.

"You'll see! Don't call me beautiful Karina if I lie," Karin replied, not wanting to lose.

"It's beautiful when viewed from the end of Monas," answered Dodo again.

Suddenly, all the students who listened to Karin's argument with Dodo burst out laughing.

"You guys are a perfect match," said the student in front of Dodo.

"Where does it fit?" Dodo asked.

"Like dogs and cats," answered another.

"Yes, it fits because they are both crazy," answered another ending with a laugh.

Finally, the class was so crowded, filled with the laughter of children jokingly making fun of each other.

Time was running, not felt until the bell rang signaling recess.

They are 12th graders who are about to take the year-end exam.

The beginning is where the true path of life is waiting in front of them. An unknown future will take them where.

Hope and desire are only false shadows that not all humans can achieve. Only a few lucky humans in this world can make it happen.
