The next, started with Ian waking up in a cell, with a red shield around it.
" What is this place? Where am I?" Ian asked.
" You are at Alcatraz. A prison remade for superhuman's like yourself. This place houses some of the deadliest mutants that the world has seen. I'm sorry to put you in such a place, but we couldn't think of any other place that could hold you. Forgive me for that. But at least here, you'll have space." Pierce told the boy.
Ian looked around and noticed that his cell was indeed quite large, but a comfy cell is still a cell.
" I can see from the look on your face, you aren't too pleased about this. I understand. But you should know this force field is impervious from physical damage, you won't be breaking out of it anytime soon. It's for your best interest. Your school has you a good attorney, and if what they said checks out, then we'll have you out in no time, but you need to follow the rules. Do what the jailers tell you, and you'll be just fine. I'll be back at the end of the week to check up on you." Pierce explained.
" Go fuck yourself." Ian told the man.
Pierce sighed and then walked away. Knowing his presence would only continue to make things worse.
Later that night.
" All right, inmate it's time to eat." The guard spoke, he walked up to Ian's cell and a hole in the barrier opened up and he deposited a tray inside.
" I'm not hungry." Ian replied.
" Then don't eat. I don't care. I'll be back soon to collect it." The guard spoke.
He walked away and Ian turned towards the tray.
A plate of some kind of stew, with bread and beans.
Ian eyed the tray; he did want to eat. But he didn't trust it. One thing he learned while imprisoned is that anything could be dangerous, especially food. At this point paranoia had already set in, and Ian refused to even touch the food on his plate for fear that it could be poisoned.
Thirty minutes later, the guard came back to Ian's cell, with armed guards, to collect the tray.
" Nothing huh? Oh well. Lunch time is up. Slide the tray over to the door inmate." The guard ordered.
Ian placed his hand on the side of the tray and pushed it towards the door.
The guard nodded and the others aimed their weapons at Ian to make sure he didn't move. The guard grabbed the tray, and the barrier quickly went back up.
" Way to waste good money, ya little shit." The guard stated. " Why is it, you all get good food, health care, and a place to lay your heads while good honest citizens have to struggle?" The guard asked. " Hey, I asked you a question." The guard spoke.
Ian continued Ignoring the man, he knew that anything he said would be useless. The best thing for him to do would be to just be quiet and stay to himself. He wanted to try punching his way out, but even through his anger, he knew that would only bring him more problems.
" Ahh, whatever ya little shit. I'll be back with the nurse so she can give you some medicine." The guard. He and the other two guards quickly left Ian's cell, leaving the boy to his own thoughts for some time.
Another hour went by, and the guard returned with the nurse, who had a table of pills.
" Alright, punk. We have aspirin, ibuprofen, we also need to give you a shot for bacteria." The guard explained.
" No, you won't. And I don't want any medicine." Ian replied.
" Sweetheart, ya need it. Or else ya could get sick." The nurse stated.
" No, you don't get it. That needle can't pierce my skin anymore." Ian told the woman, he wasn't trying to be rude or anything, it was just that nothing that small could penetrate his skin anymore.
" Shut up, ya little rat and get over here." The guard spoke.
Ian sighed and got up from his seat on the floor, he walked up to the red shield.
" All right, turn around and place your hands behind your back." The guard demanded. " You're not in trouble, it's just a procedure we need to follow."
Ian nodded and did as he was told,
The guard placed power dampening cuffs on Ian's wrists and then opened the door to his cell.
" Alright, just hold still for me and try not to tense up." The nurse spoke.
Ian nodded and the woman raised the needle to his skin. The moment she tried to insert the needle; her hand stopped.
" What?" The woman asked. She kept on trying to insert the needle only for it to bend on Ian's skin. " How, is that possible?"
" Hey! What are you doing, mutant?" The guard asked.
The woman replaced her needle and tried once again to insert it into Ian's arm.
" Why won't you go into!" The nurse tried shoving the needle in, only for it to break and cut her instead. " Ahhh!" The nurse cried.
" Are you alrigh-!" Ian was trying to ask how the lady was, only for the guard to him in the face with his baton.
The baton broke and the guard looked at Ian in shock.
" But the cuffs. We've got a problem on the third floor!" The guard radioed, he raised the shield again and Ian stepped away from the door.
Alarms started blaring and armed guards rushed up the onto the floor.
The next day at the Xavier Institute.
" Agent pierce, what do we owe the pleasure for this time?" Emma asked.
After hearing about what happened at the Prison, Pierce came to tell Scott and Emma what happened.
" We have a new problem." Pierce told the woman.
" What is it, Pierce?" Scott asked.
" Did something happen to the boys? Are they okay?" Dani asked.
" Kevin is just fine. He was placed in a juvenile facility. But because Ian was eighteen years old, he was placed in a prison. Well, sometime last night, I got a call and apparently, Ian assaulted six guards and a nurse." Pierce explained to the group.
" What?" Scott and Dani asked.
" Oh dear. Well, what are we looking at here, pierce?" Emma asked the man.
" On top of the first-degree murder charges, he's now looking at six assaults on law enforcement charges, an assault and battery charge, and malicious wounding on the nurse. We've received good information that could prove his innocence with the murder. But even without it he could be facing up to sixty years in prison if he gets the maximum from each charge." Pierce explained.
" Well... Why did this happen? Do you even have proof he attacked them?" Dani asked.
" There are cameras in the prison. I will be visiting them tomorrow to check the footage. I'll speak with Ian, the guard on the floor at the time and the nurse, and depending on what the cameras say, I'll have those charges thrown out." Pierce explained to the teachers.
" Well, where is he?" Scott asked.
" The only prison in San Francisco that can hold super powered individuals, Alcatraz." Pierce told the man.
" You put him where?!" Emma shouted. " You put a defenseless eighteen-year-old boy in a place where we send some of our most dangerous enemies?"
" HEY! It was the only place I could take him. I did have him put on a floor by himself and I made sure his room and food were at least better than the other inmates." Pierce told the woman.
" Oh, and where is he now?" Emma asked.
" In the hole, until I can further investigate." Pierce told the woman. " Look, if he did nothing wrong then he'll get put back in his cell. But if he did attack those people he'll sit in the hole until the day of his trial. That's all I can promise you." Pierce told the woman.
" Of course, it is." Emma replied.
" What can we do for him?" Scott asked.
" Well, you can call. The place doesn't allow visitors to come on to the island, but video calls are just fine." Pierce told the man.
" Can you help us set one up?" Dani asked.
" I can after, I conduct my investigation. I'll be leaving for San Francisco as soon as possible. But I won't give you any promises. But I'll try." Pierce told the woman.
" Thank you, that's all I can ask." Dani replied.
Pierce nodded and said his goodbyes leaving the teachers behind to deliberate by themselves.
" For the best, they'll be safe. We'll get through this together. Unity and all that right, Scott?" Emma asked the man.
" Not now, Emma." Scott told the woman.
" Of course. Always later. Whatever Scott, I'll see you tomorrow."
