Chapter 2: Why the hell did he come over?
"Nat, literature club is over, you got pretty sucked into that manga!".
I jerked my head up to see Monika and MC. Time went by so fast...
"Oh ok." - I said blankly, closing my manga volume, my eyes were sore. I got up and walked out of the closet, grabbing my bag, heading towards the door.
I felt a grip on my arm, restraining me from walking any further. I looked back to see MC. He was worried and looked pale.
"Nat, it's dangerous there, let me walk you home or do something to help." - He said concerned.
"Look, I just don't want to cause any trouble or conflict. Please just let me go, I can do this. I do it every day." - I said. He frowned at my words but let go of my arm.
I felt horrible, but I don't want him to risk his life for me, my dad was ruthless. I couldn't forgive myself if something bad happened to MC.
I headed back home, walking as slowly as I could. Once I got to the door, I felt a chill going down my spine, I breathed in deeply and opened the door quietly.
Thankfully he was asleep. I closed the door gently and tipped my way to the stairs, dropping my manga by accident like an idiot in the process.
As I looked back at him, he was sitting up looking at me, in fury. I rushed up the stairs and slammed my door, shaking, scared that I had failed to lock it.
He opened the door and quickly picked me up and threw me to the other side of the room with anger in his eyes, looking at me as if he was like looking right into my soul, telling me subliminally that I should die or something.
I just covered my face and eyes to prevent me from seeing the stare of the cruel eyes belonging to the person standing in front of me.
A few minutes later, after he had lectured me, I received a message from someone but I didn't want to see it because I knew he would break my phone like last time. I was hoping he didn't hear the notification.
This phone was like the third one I had to buy without him knowing. Finally got the courage to get my phone while Dadsuki had his back turned.
The message said: "I know there's something wrong Nat. You haven't been responding for more than an hour and I'm getting really worried. I'll be at your door in 10 minutes." .
And...as soon as I saw that message, he turned back at me.
With such little time to put my phone away, he immediately snatched it from my hand and slammed it with all his force on the wooden floor in my room.
This made him so angry, he started beating me into the fetal position and kicking me until I fainted.
Minutes after I fainted, MC knocked on the door, as my dad walked down the stairs to open the door. I started to make myself wake up and sprinted towards the door and blocked it as best as I could for him not to open it: "DAD, PLEASE, DON'T OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR!".
