Chapter 44: You Are Late!

The next morning when Liu Xiuying woke up, she felt that her head was heavy and realized that she had cried herself to sleep last night. She sat up in bed and reached out to run her fingers through her messy hair. With her hand on her head, she reached out for her phone and turned it on.

"Sh*t" she jumped up from the bed when she saw that it was already half past 7 and ran into the bathroom. 

She hurriedly took her brush, applied toothpaste and started brushing her teeth. She raised her head to look at her reflection in the mirror and saw that her eyes were swollen. Her beautiful deep brown eyes were bloodshot, making it seem like she was a demon that crawled out of hell.

She averted her gaze from her reflection and lowered her head to spit out the foam in her mouth, but then, her phone rang. She ran back into her bedroom to pick up her phone.
