Chapter 9: Visiting Sunset Forest
Around two weeks have passed since Na'er started her etiquette training.
This means that Tang Yuehua was practising Lotus Meditation for the same amount of time.
The effects of it were quite obvious at least for Na'er, her spearmanship is getting better and better. By this point, it looked like she had practised with it for a few years.
While for me I was halfway to Rank 26. Having a breakthrough around a week before.
The thing was that after the breakthrough the 'Imaginary Tank' got slightly bigger.
Which wasn't big of a issue. It is something one always expects with cultivation. Apart from that, the most interesting development was the plant samples which I exposed to the potent spirit energy which saturated from Heaven and Earth energies.
It was fascinating to see them grow this rapidly…
Just like how I did with my experiments back on earth. Well calling them 'experiments' is a stretch since it's me putting veggies and fruits into a blender and looking for a good mix.
But this time I decided to add something special into the mix.
And that is my spirit energy-saturated blood. Now as far as I know my body has dragon stuff so with dragon stuff added to the mix how is it going to be?
After I dropped some blood into the pots it was time to get outside and visit that Tang Lady!

Once I was inside I saw Na'er training how to walk elegantly. Which is interesting to watch. Since walking, stances, and foot positioning is very important in martial arts fights.
Not only that but she rapidly becomes quite the elegant lady. Now the only thing she needs is a maid uniform.
"My Prince. You are just on time. We are almost done with today's lesson."
As Tang Yuehua said that she was extra cheerful today which means that she finally had her breakthrough.
"Good. How is Na'er doing?"
I asked her as I walked over.
"Na'er is incredible, one of the best students I ever had. Very driven. It appears you know how to inspire her." Tang Yuehua said that while looking how Na'er was practising to walk.
However, I can see some blushing on the silver-haired girl's cheeks since she heard what her teacher just said.
"Good. Very nice to hear that. So? You finally broke through didn't you?" Xue Long diverted the conversation from Na'er to the Tang Lady.
"Yes. I had my breakthrough this morning. Your senses and prediction ability are absurd!" She said that with disbelief.
Well, I had a hunch when she will have her breakthrough and my spirit senses are getting better as time progresses. I can sense miniature changes in spirit movement. And it's only getting better as we speak.
"I had my hunches and my spirit senses constantly are improving."
She nodded to my words.
"So, when we are going to get those rings? I need some action."
"Rings?"
"Na'er needs one as well. She is innate rank after all."
When I said that she had realising look.
"We can leave soon. I still have to arrange a few things before I can leave the pavilion."
I slowly nodded at her. She is the Dean of this place after all. The woman can't just leave casually.

Just like last time Xue Long brought whole two battalions of scouts to help him to find some spirit beasts for the two girls.
In truth, he hoped he will meet some 10 thousands year old beasts to beat up.
He needs to test out some of his Fist styles, like Tai Chi and the Boundless Fist. And then the Deva Style of Diamond Fist.
This is because he noticed slight reactions to these styles when he is practising. It's like reality is warping and reacting to them.
Well, he did practise quite a bit of Arthan's Meditation through the days. People said that golden smoke has been coming out from his body when he was practising this specific meditation
So, it was a good indication that he was indeed progressing his martial arts towards a realm of true supernatural!
"Let's go! We according to Miss Tang and Na'er we need wind type of beasts. Spread out and find them! For this, we need beasts between 400 to 480 years."
The scouts nodded and spread out to look for them.
Xue Long for a second looked at Tang Yuehua who was dressed appropriately for this kind of adventure. With leather clothes. It was very nice to look at such a sight. Even when she is dressed like this she was still an elegant lady.
Even Na'er looked quite nice! her new battle maid uniform makes her look serious with her elegant aura! Black and white maid clothes mixed with pieces of armour which has golden embroidered pieces of golden dragon emblem which symbolises her affiliation to be with Fourth Prince of Heavenly Dou Empire.
"Was it necessary to bring this many people?"
"Hmm? It's only over 500 people. I have permission to muster over 40 thousand if need be. My family is quite proud of our military size."
"Yet. It doesn't beat the fact that Star Luo Empire has better Spirit Masters."
"For now Miss Tang." He said that with a smile as they started to walk towards the forest.
Sunset Forest is far more different than Star Dou forest. However, Na'er was extra alert as she remembers the traumatic experience of being chased by those wolves.
Even if it had fewer tropical jungles and trees were more apart from each other. It was beautiful to look at!
'This time I am not defenceless little girl!' She thought to herself as she hold her Silver Dragon Spear tighter.
Out of the three people, the most relaxed was Xue Long who was looking for spirit beasts while the girls are hoping they are not to meet anyone hostile any time soon.
And unlike with his hunt, this one is much faster…
As half day later they meet up with a group of scouts.
"My Prince we have found a few Wind-based Spirit beasts."
Xue Long slowly nodded his head and listened to their report.
"We found a pack of Wind wolves, and at least three different types of wind birds"
" I suppose songbirds would be best for Miss Tang."
For a few moments, she had thoughtful look.
"Yes. Those would be for the best." She said that with not 100% sure voice.
"You should listen to your gut feeling. It's the key. Once you decided you go for it and don't think about anything else."
She slowly nodded accepting his advice.
"Lead us to the wild wolves. The leader of the pack will go to Na'er."
"At once my Prince!" The leader of the scouts quickly started to show where to go.
The Fourth Prince noticed quickly how Na'er was getting nervous.
He put his hand on her head and rubbed her hair.
"Relax. Trust in yourself and your weapon. Your Spear is unbreakable and will never going to let you down in your battle."
She slowly nodded feeling much better. Her Prince word boosted her confidence considerably.

"The wolf's pack is straight ahead. The scouts have put a perimeter around them, none of them should escape."
"Good. I will take care of small fry while you Na'er engage the pack leader."
"M-My prince are you sure want to fight small fries?" The girl asked nervously. Her Prince should not fight little things like these.
"My hands are itching to fight so yes, I need to beat up things!"
As he said that his eyes turned red with draconic slits.
He channelled some of the Spirit Energy into his legs and jumped forward and landed on top of a tree branch, he looked forward. A couple of trees further he saw a pack of wolves with greenish like tattoos. The air around is acting weird.
For a second he narrowed his eyes. Sure within a few seconds, they noticed the Prince.
"Na'er go! Their smell is extremely good!"
"On it!!!"
The silver head dashed forward with her spear
While Xue Long kicked off and jumped in. Midair did an arm thrust movement.
"Deva Diamond Palm!!!"
That moment a golden monk figure appeared behind him. It was much more solid form than last time and everyone saw it this time!
Their mouth opened wide when saw this! It was nothing related to Golden Dragon King!!!
This was a human form which struck with a hand!
And the result? Three wind wolves exploded into a mist of blood!
'As expected from my Prince! He killed three of them with a single strike!' While Na'er was giddy to see how her prince is destroying these wolves!
Sure enough, he landed on the ground and proceeded with his onslaught.
Other wolves quickly lunged at him from all directions.
So, he caught the front one by its neck and simply used it as a meat shield. With a simple spin, he blasted them away from himself and then threw his temporary meat shield at the enemy which was trying to stand up.
The collision confused them for a second which was all needed to deliver Deva Diamond fist. The moment he activated this stance his hands glowed similar to that of diamonds.
And each fist broke the bones of these 400-year-old wolves…
'Hmm, I should develop more striking moves. Deva Diamond Palm is gonna get overused soon.'
'Wait…wasn't there kicking move from Boundless fist arsenal? Oh, yeah… an enzuigiri kick…'
Thinking about this for a bit. Xue Long fighting style changed mid-flight between swings one moment his fist were glowing like diamonds. Next moment he didn't use his fists anymore. Instead, it was palm strikes. A tall tale sigh of Boundless fists of Tai-Chi-style, made by Taoists of Wu-Dang sect.
Instead, his fists glowed similar to that of clouds and upon strike, there was a sound like metal hitting the fur of wolves, it was smacking of metal-fitting flesh.
And his moves completely ignored their fur… it's like he is hitting organs directly…
After killing another one, the next one was waiting so instead Xue Long simply did a casual and slow palm attack which was a provoking move.
The wolf dodged it and tried to bite him which was something the prince was waiting for.
His other palm went right into contact with one of the pawns of the wolf which instantly broke the entire front limb.
This stopped the wolf's advance, but not Xue Long's as he used his other hand to smack the canine away. His actions were almost something like 'you are done, so fuck off!'
After all, Taoists believe in balance in all things. And for each action, there is a consequence. In this case. I punched you and you should die as result.
In this case, this is what happened as the wolf's neck broke from that slap.
As that wolf was done another tried to jump on the Prince from behind.
But at this moment Xue Long had something similar to 360 view because of his connection to Heaven and Earth so he spin kick the Wolf. It was the perfect moment to use one of his 'striking move'
"Boundless Fist of Clouds!" As he said that clouds formed before the connection happens, upon the hitting a loud metal-like sound ringed through the forest as the ghostly clouds turned into Yin and Yang symbol followed by a bright glow. The next moment the wolf simply collapsed a few metres away. And blood started to leak from all orifices.
The wolf's organs have turned into mush from that single impact.
When Xue Long landed on the ground he took the Boundless fist stance and waited for the next target which never arrived.
For a second he got confused and looked around.
"Okay… what's with the hold-up?" He asked as he looked around.
He realised that everyone was looking at him… including Na'er and the Wind Wolf pack leader.
"Hmm…"
He looked around and realised that he was in the middle of seas of corpses…
"Well, I suppose you handle the rest." He waived casually and walked back where Tang Yuehua was. The Prince is confident Na'er can deal with that.
