Chapter 17: CHAPTER SIXTEEN: AM SO SORRY MISS!!!!!!!
Kelly POV
"Hey! Let me down now!!!! How dare you hold me up like this without my permission" I screamed at him "And who needs permission to hold you up?" He replied as he kept on walking in "You are embarrassing me, at least if you wanna carry me, not like this with me hanging upside down" I said in a bid to deceive him into letting me down "No, can do feisty" He replied, immediately we walked into the lobby of the building, the once busy and noisy place suddenly grew silent that one could hear the sound of a pin if it drops down to the floor, people stopped moving and it felt as if time had stopped working, the shock on their faces were indescribable, then so0me of them started murmuring.
*what the heck is going on between the boss and the delivery girl?
*I thought she was just his secretary.
*The boss is gradually changing
*I just wish Miss Stephanie would find out about this and give her what she deserves
*mtcheww, I hate her, she's so ugly.
I groaned inwardly at the last two comments, what do the people take me for, a cheap whore, immediately he got to the office and dropped me, I slapped him immediately, he seemed stunned and surprised "jeez!! What was that?" he requested "You see what you have caused, your workers now see me as a whore who deserves the wrath of your girlfriend, I hate you, don't come close to me again, am here to work and nothing else" I said as I adjusted my gown, and was about to go when he held my hand "Do you want me to give you another slap in order for it to reset your lost memory" I said in angry he signed and dropped my hand.
I walked to my office, locked the door, and draw the curtains to avoid seeing his ugly face, gosh what do those filthy things take me for? Aiish!!!
Devin POV
Man!! Things are all fucked up 'Who made my mate as annoyed as that, I know that you are part of the problem but am sensing that another person has added to her anger' Dakar said 'Well, my workers made some nasty comments about her and she was so upset about it, and I am going to make sure that they are punished dearly for making her so mad at me' I replied 'Yes, who dares make my mate annoyed' Dakar growled. I walked downstairs in anger, I didn't bother using the elevator, immediately I reached the lobby, I thundered saying "If you know that you are the person who made that nasty comment about my secretary, just do me a favor by coming out because if I fish you both out, then I would do something that the both of you would never like" I waited patiently for them to come out but none came out here
"Well I have been patient enough, Christine and Priscilla, come out here" They both came out with fear clearly shown on their faces, they were trembling so miserably "I would have been nice enough with the both of you by just firing you but you both decided to prove stubborn, so for your punishment, you are going to serve as a cleaner in the factory for 2 months " Immediately I said that, everybody gasped, I smirked and continued "You will work without getting paid, not even a single cent, then after that, the both of you will get your miserable self out of my company" Immediately, I finished saying that, they both knelt and begged me to forgive them, they were so lucky to be humans, if they were wolves then they would have seen the ugly side of me.
"You will start work at the factory tomorrow, and the financial secretary will send the money equivalent to the time that you have spent here during this month " Their wails and cries got louder, am quite sure that they know that they are just wasting their time by doing that, I paid zero attention to their tears as I made my way upstairs 'Devin, how can we appease our mate' 'She's not our mate but yours alone' I regretted saying that cause immediately I said that my fist just formed a punch and punched my face badly on its own accord 'Dakar, what the hell is wrong with you, how could you inflict pain on me?' I whined badly, but instead, he laughed very loud that the sound of it was rumbling out of my chest.
'I will keep on doing that to you if you don't acknowledge her as your mate' He replied 'Never, I would never do such an abominable thing' I said as I walked into my office, I sat down and stared at her office, she had already drawn down the curtains 'Go and beg her Devin', Dakar whispered 'No can do Dakar, after all, am not the one at fault here, so why do I have to beg her?' I asked him 'Well, because she is our mate' He said 'Dakar, I have told you to never call her my mate' I responded 'Why would I do that Devin, she needs us, she needs our attention' He said 'Ahhh, I have had enough' I said as I shut him off.
Then she came out and dropped some files on my table and said "These are the weekly reports sent to me by the general and financial secretary, including the manager and supervisor at the factory, I have appended my signature where necessary and it is only your signature that is left before it can be approved, I have gone through it and it seems okay but you can also proofread it to confirm" She said and was about to go back to her office when I dragged her back to me and said, "Fiery, what did I do to you to make you become so cold like this towards me?" "Sir, this is a working environment and from the records, you have done nothing to me but on the contrary, am the one who has offended you, I am the one who has done something to you," She said.
What does she mean by the statement "I don't quite understand you, Ell, what do you mean by that?" I asked her "Sir, am not ell but Kelly, and what I meant by that statement that I made, was that you are my boss, and am your employee, am so sorry for crossing my limit, I am going to take caution of my actions next time, and such would never repeat itself again sir, please forgive me sir" Immediately she said that I was so surprised, she bowed and left for her office. What am I going to do for her to change her mind?
'Devin, things are so messed up now, get me back my mate, am missing her craziness already' Dakar whined 'Like seriously, can't you allow me to rest, you this wolf, I shut you off d=for a minute, and then next you are back again with your trouble, can't you let me be' I replied, gosh!! Am losing gradually concentration.
Kelly POV
What does he take me for? Huh! I need to be keeping my distance from him because being with him or around him always smells bad news, I don't like him one bit. I was just coming back from the restaurant, I had to leave his presence because being in the same office with him all day is very uncomfortable for me, it just seems as if he is boring holes into me and that he can see through the curtains, so creepy, I was so lost in my thoughts when I bumped into someone "Am so sorry miss!!!"
