Chapter 3: 3. Grandpa's Orders
"When are you coming home?" asked Alvaro from his cell phone. He was on the phone with his brother who was abroad.
Daniel Sagara Abyakta. The first son of Arkanta Abyakta who is the older brother of Alvaro Sebastian Abyakta.
Daniel is continuing his study abroad because his grandfather, Sanjaya Abyakta told him to.
Daniel was not very interested in his grandfather's company. However, because he was tired of always seeing his father changing partners which made him nauseous, he made it an opportunity to not see his father anymore.
"Maybe next month. Why? You already miss me?" asked Daniel from the other side.
"Maybe, yes! But, there is a problem here and I am confused about it," said Alvaro complaining to his brother.
"Your father's problem?" asked Daniel from the other side.
"Hey! He's also your father!" annoyed Alvaro got a hiss and a small laugh from Daniel.
"Really? I thought I didn't have a father anymore. He's not like my father."
"What do you think our father is like?" asked Alvaro feeling a little annoyed at his brother. Instead of answering Alvaro's question, his brother changed the subject.
"Are you finished with your studies?" his brother asked.
"Yes. And Grandpa told me to follow you and continue my studies there," said Alvaro in a slightly sad tone.
"Then why, do you sound like that?" asked Daniel.
"If I go and continue my studies there, that means I have to part with my lover," Alvaro complained sadly, making his brother pause for a moment.
However, after that Alvaro heard an annoyed chuckle from his brother.
"You little boy! Don't be consumed by the cradle of love for a moment," denied his brother.
"Hey! My love does not love for a moment! Remember that! I love her with all my heart. If you see her, you might fall in love," said Alvaro while smiling and imagining Selena.
"Ck. I'm sure your love will fade with time. Or even get carried away by the wind when you fly here," Daniel teased making Alvaro scream.
"Yaaa!!! Don't talk nonsense, you! Just watch out! One day you will be eaten by your own words!" Alvaro was annoyed at his brother.
"Never!"
"Certain!"
"No!"
"You will meet a woman who makes you fall in love. That woman seems to be an addiction to you. It can't be replaced with anything and anyone," said Alvaro making Daniel chuckle in annoyance.
"Never mind! Today is a day off and this is my quiet day. I want to rest!" said Daniel who immediately hung up his brother's phone.
Alvaro cursed his brother by staring at his cellphone screen. However, he immediately received a message from his brother.
"If you swear at me, you won't give me pocket money anymore," Daniel wrote, making Alvaro a little surprised by it.
Alvaro does often ask his brother for money if his allotment of money has run out. And as a kind brother, Daniel always gave him.
"What a calculation!" Alvaro replied annoyed. However, after that, he smiled. Her brother is a cold person.
However, even so, he was the best Big Brother to him. He is grateful, in this lonely family, he still have Daniel as a brother.
Daniel was about to close his eyes, but couldn't when he heard his phone ring again. He ignored it because he thought it was Alvaro.
The ringing of his cellphone didn't stop until Daniel got up and took his cellphone. He wanted to scold his brother for trying to annoy him.
However, he squinted when it wasn't his brother's name on the phone screen. But,
"Yes, hello, Grandpa?" said Daniel.
"Why is it taking so long? Are you asleep? You don't usually sleep at this hour?" asked Sanjaya from the other side.
"It's Sunday, Grandpa. And it's time for a quiet day for me to rest," Daniel replied.
"Okay. But, Grandpa just wanted to say something. Next week, you have to go home. There will be a change of position and position in the company. It's time for you to replace your father. So that he won't do anything else," said the grandfather making Daniel stunned for a moment.
He had been thinking about this since yesterday when he heard his father did a hit and run which luckily no one knew about.
Finally, what he had feared happened. Daniel took a deep breath.
"But, Grandpa?"
"Grandpa is not as healthy as before. I don't know how old Grandpa is. Grandpa just wants to take care of everything, before it's too late," said Sanjaya hoping that his first grandson would listen.
"I don't promise. I have to think about it first," said Daniel.
"Have a good rest. See you next week," said Sanjaya and ended the call.
Daniel snorted harshly. His grandfather's words seemed to be an order for Daniel.
Living alone in a foreign country makes him lonely. However, to return to his home, it seemed he did not want anymore.
Hearing his grandfather's words earlier, sounded very expecting his presence. However, he was reluctant to return.
Daniel looked at a photo of a woman with him as a child. Her mother. I don't know where he is now.

Daniel slammed down the photo frame. Missing as a child never left his heart. However, it seemed, that her mother no longer cared about her or even Alvaro.
Even though his mouth said no to his grandfather, Daniel's heart was already feeling uneasy after talking to his grandfather.
Daniel started to pack his things and was about to return to his homeland. His father's hit-and-run incident also succeeded in disturbing his peace of mind.
An inner turmoil ensued. When he was confused to make his choice to return to his home, or to remain in his position, he still wanted to go abroad. But his heart also did not deny that he longed to go home. He also misses his sister whom he has not seen for several years.
"Maybe, I really should come back soon," Daniel whispered with a faint smile on his lips.

Selena is looking for job vacancies on the internet. Occasionally he saw his mother who was still asleep. Even though he was very tired of being in the hospital.
However, his mother was still not allowed to go home by the doctor. Selena is also looking for a nurse who will take care of her mother while she works when she finds a job.
"Pray for me, Mom. So that I can get a job to support our lives. If Dad was still there, maybe ..." Selena muttered as she lowered her head.
"Maybe, you didn't turn out like this. Maybe, everything will be okay," Selena said, repeatedly wiping her tears.
He still couldn't believe what had happened to the two people. Until his father's life was taken right away. Her mother was also paralyzed.
"I promise, I will take care of Mom. And immediately find a job to pay for our living," said Selena holding her mother's hand.
Luckily, he graduated from college. Until he was not too difficult to think about the cost of education.
He just needs to find a job to earn money for his daily needs as well as his mother's treatment.
"I miss you, Dad. Very much. Hope you rest in peace. I'm sorry, sorry," Selena whispered with a little sob in her solitude.
