Chapter 22: annoyance

Happy reading

For a moment Gladys looked at her own body and confirmed the Eagle's words.  The dress is quite sexy and revealing and her appearance is already disheveled, plus she's out of the nightclub.  Other people who saw her would definitely think that she was a bad girl.

However, he chose not to respond to the Eagle's words just now and went back to enjoying the rest of the bread left in his hands with his thoughts elsewhere.

Realizing that he had offended Gladys, the Eagle only watched her movements in silence.  Letting him finish the food and holding back his curiosity about what really happened to the girl.

The eyes that were closed seemed to move.  The glare of the mini market lights right in front of the car woke him up.  Slowly he opened his eyes, then squinted again and winced.  He turned his head away and covered his eyes with the back of his hand.

The girl blinked quickly, realizing that she was still in the same car, but the owner was nowhere to be found.  While the man's jacket was still on top of him, covering his chest.

Instantly Gladys cheeks warmed.  His heart seemed to say that the man was a good person.  However, he tried to get rid of all that.  This time he didn't want to be fooled again.  It was enough once he was framed by a sweet-mouthed taxi driver who turned out to have evil intentions to sell himself.

Gladys snorted loudly.  He was annoyed at the thought.  Her eyes felt hot, then warm tears spilled freely and ran down her smooth cheeks.  His little heart regretted a little what happened to him today.  If only he hadn't run away, maybe this bad thing wouldn't have happened to him.  But if he continued with the marriage, he might spend his life regretting it.

The girl grimaced slightly when moving her body to get up while adjusting the position of the back of the car seat to return to normal, then leaned her back there.  Meanwhile, his left hand massaged his temple with his elbow on the window.  His head felt heavy as if it had been hit by a large rock.  Dizziness and pain.  His whole body seemed boneless.

A moment he cursed his stupidity a moment ago.  How could he even fall asleep when he was in danger, when it was very possible that something bad could happen to him, again.  However, for some reason when he was in the lap of the Eagle he felt safe so he easily gave in to his tiredness and sleepiness.

A man came out of the mini market carrying a shopping bag and the other hand holding a cell phone to his ear.  Judging from the man's expression, it seemed like a serious conversation.

The car door suddenly opened, Eagle entered while talking to someone through his cellphone.

"Okay. Tonight I will take care of everything," said the Eagle and then hung up the phone.

The man turned to the girl beside him who was already awake and was staring at him in silence.

 "You're finally awake," he said

While Gladys looked at him fiercely, the Eagle was confused because at this time the girl should be happy that she had been chased by the two creatures and it was all thanks to her.

 The eagle frowned, "why you?"

A slap almost landed on the eagle's cheek if he hadn't caught the tiny hand quickly.

"Here, fill your stomach first so that your punch is more powerful," he said casually placing the shopping bag on Gladys' lap, then released the grip on the girl's hand.

This time it was Gladys who was confused.  His eyes alternately looked at the Eagle and the shopping bag on his lap.

The girl gulped seeing a medium-sized pack of chocolate sandwiches and a bottle of mineral water in the shopping bag.  Without feeling his stomach growled as if the worms inside were screaming for their rights.

"Eat! The worms in your stomach have been on demo since earlier," said the Eagle without looking at Gladys.  The man was busy lowering the window pane with a cigarette between his fingers and lighting it.

Reflexively, Gladys held her stomach with a flushed face while glancing at the man.  For a moment he cursed the worms in his stomach that had embarrassed him.

"I don't want to deal with the police just because I help an unknown girl who is starving to death," continued Elang.

Gladys glared at the man who looked relaxed and took a deep breath while leaning his head and resting his elbow on the window.  Then, exhale the cigarette smoke outside.

Thanks," Gladys snapped as she took a packet of bread and opened it.

"That's how thank you, after suddenly getting into the car people keep asking for help?"  quipped Eagle, raising an eyebrow at the girl beside him.

Gladys pulled back the bread that was already right on her lips, then looked back at the Eagle with a sneer.

"Okay. I'm sorry for being rude to get into your car and thank you very much for saving me from those two people. But, I don't like the way you harassed me?"  cerocos Gladys emotion.

 "Harassing how?"  The eagle frowned.

"Yeah… what you did just now," said the girl nervously as she tucked her hair behind her ear and looked away in any direction.  Thinking about it made him both embarrassed and annoyed.

The eagle pressed through his eyes for the girl to continue talking.

"Pull people's heads up to your thighs," Gladys grunted.

"Ooh… reflex!"  said the eagle coolly.
