Chapter 67: Won't use it

Hearing the loud bell signaling it was end of lectures and school for today, Kiran close his ears as it seems his ear drums was about to burst.

This was one of the things he has been experiencing after the night of seeing himself in the forest, any slight noise or sound was being picked by his ears.

Hearing the words and whispers of everyone in his class talking to each other doesn't seems to be more affecting than the loud sound of the bell that was piercing through his ears even after covering them.

The worst part was that it was just constant and he couldn't do anything about it apart from bearing through the pain.

With the sound of the bell finally coming to an end, he breath out in relief and clean the sweat from his forehead.

Ever since that day in the forest, three things was no longer how they were for him, one of them was his hearing which could pick up on the slightest sound around him, another was his sense of smell, he no longer was the same as he could perceive things from afar, while the last one being his anger that he couldn't control and just let it take over him.

"Why are you sweating, the weather isn't that hot" said Mikey as he approached him. "Come on let's start going".

"Will you two be coming to martial art training today?" Asked Caleb to Kiran and Mikey.

"Not sure I will be attending" replied Kiran as he has a lot on his mind.

"What's the need to attend, I'm pretty sure that we are going to take the same position as our last" said Mikey.

"Don't you ever think of improving, do you like your current ranking?" Asked Caleb as he look at him.

"Being third isn't that bad, I'm content with it and beside I purposely took third so you two can continue fighting for who's going to take the first position" replied Mikey.

"Please spare my ears with your lies, you aren't as strong like you were before and I'm sure you won't be able to get more than the third position" said Caleb.

"You know, I do think of improving, but every time I remember that I'm not going to use it in the future, makes me remove the idea from my head, it's not just worth it to train frequently when you are not going to use it " said Mikey.

"Okay then, suit yourself" replied Caleb as they continue walking.

"Come on don't tell me you haven't think about it for once, do you think with us being the heir of our family cooperation that we can do what we wants in the future?" Asked Mikey. "Of course not, even though you want to disagree with it, you know it's the truth".

"You don't have to let the future affect your present, do what you want now and let the future take care of itself" replied Caleb. "If you continue to live this way of just thinking of what to do and not to do because of the future, then you won't achieve what you want in the future"

With each Friday being martial art training, they were all suppose to attend, but them being somewhat like V.I.P and already top of the class, they no longer see the reason to continue going every Friday.

The only Friday of them attending is when it was time to rank everyone and see how much they have improve.

To the three who were no longer attending, it was hard to say if they have improved from before, but the fact that no one has been able to take their position from their hands means they are constantly improving or the others just haven't improved to their level to pose a threat to them.

Walking out of the school building and going to the parking lot, Kiran could see his mom already waiting for him.

"We might come visit you today or tomorrow, make sure to heed our words" said Caleb as they wave him goodbye.

Waving back at them, he walked towards his mom and got into the car.

"Good evening mom" greeted Kiran as he drop his back on one of the seats.

"Evening son, how was school today?" Asked Jenny as she look a him.

"It was good as usual" replied Kiran not bothering to talk about the scuffle he had with Gary and his people. "How was work?"

"It was great" replied Jenny as she start the car and drive out of the school parking lots.

Reaching home, the first thing he did was to quickly walked to his room and drop his bag before going to the bathroom.

Pulling off his clothes and keeping it aside, he put on the shower and let the cold water pour on him.

Staying under the shower for some minutes and taking constant deep breathe, he managed to calm himself before walking out of the bathroom.

Drying his hair and cleaning the water from his body, he lie on the bed and close his eyes.

Thinking about what happened between him and Gary in school, he shake his head as he think of what would have happened if Caleb and Mikey haven't stopped him.

Even with him closing his eyes for the past thirty minutes now, they still doesn't seem like they were going to fall asleep anytime soon.

Hearing the clicking sound of the door being unlocked, he stood up from his bed and walked downstairs as he know his dad was back from work and was the one opening the door.

"Good evening son, how was school today?" Asked Hendrick as he saw Kiran walking down the stairs.

"Evening dad, school was good, how's work?" Replied Kiran.

"It was good also" replied Hendrick as he walked towards the kitchen so as to meet his wife.

"I will be back in some minutes, going for a stroll" shouted Kiran before opening the door and walking out.
