"About that astra.." "What about that astra?" I asked impatiently as this guy had just put me through a shit ton of pain. He smiled sheepishly before continuing. "I won't give it to you unless you do something for me~" Bullshit! I knew something was off. I sighed. "What do you want me to do?"
"Not want, need!" He said as he spun around in a circle and struck a pose. My right eye twitched, and I sighed. "Alright then, Lord Brahma what do you need me to do?" He smiled and looked me in the eyes. "What~? I don't remember needing anything you can do though?" He was being an asshole, but if I wanted to gain more strength I would have to deal with his continued bullshit. "Lord Brahma, I can just leave right now." I said while shaking my head. "I'd like to see you try.'' Brahma replied his face contorting into a scary smile. Not showing it on my face, I made a mental note to not piss off gods.[Brahma sighed and looked off at the descending sun. "To be honest, I have a few things I need you to do, but there is one that takes priority at the moment." He looked around the forest before leaning in close and whispering in my ear. My eyes widened and I nodded. He stepped back and smiled before standing upon his swan. "Take this, You'll need it once you finish your task~" He threw me a pebble that had a green glow. Then he took to the skies. I waved goodbye before getting the stuff from my cabin and walking through the forest. It was high time I left this place in search of civilization.
......Time skip...
I walked through the forest while humming. Ever since Brahma had messed with my mind, i had felt calmer and less angry. He prolly used some form of magic to make it so that I wasn't as angry at the universe anymore. He was an asshole, but an extremely helpful one. I needed to get this task done quickly, so I could get the astra he had promised. It was time to show some real speed.
I started running and jumping through the forest like a crazed animal. I used my spear to cut through the different plants while maneuvering through the forest. It was fun to move around like this. I smirked as I thought about my newfound strength that had been accumulated as I stayed in this world. It felt as though everyday I stayed here, I got stronger, faster, and maybe even a little smarter. I saw an opening in the forest, and rushed towards it. I hopped from the ground through the opening before crashing onto a dirt road. I coughed a little bit before standing up and stretching while gathering my stuff which had scattered from the fall. I picked up one of the remaining fruits from the ground and started eating it. I looked around the dirt road for a while, before deciding to follow it until I either saw another person, ran out of water, or reached a town or village. I started a speed walk down the road. I continued walking for awhile, before I saw a group of buildings in the distance. I Started running to the group of houses and as I got closer I could make out the appearance of people in the village. I stopped running and started walking as I got closer to the village. The village had at least 14 buildings, as well and at least 20 people. That was all I could see, but I am sure there were other people in the village. I heard a voice call out to me. "Who are you?" I turned around and saw a boy, he was short and had black hair and green eyes. "I am just a traveler who got lost on a journey and was looking for a place to stay." I responded with a smile and a wave. The kid tilted his head and nodded at me before walking into the village and heading into a house.
Kids are weird sometimes. I sat down on a rock in front of the village, waiting for the kid to return. I had finally found a village, and might be able to sleep on an actual bed for the first time in a week. It's funny, how my old mundane life was just me living at my house and doing schoolwork, and just a week later, I am in an entirely different time and place, surviving to the best of my ability. I wonder what my parents would think of me now? I saw the kid walk out of the house, followed by a man who looked similar to the kid. The man approached me with a smile and said "Hello there young man! I heard you needed a place to stay for the night! I can arrange that for you, but it will come with a cost!" I nodded, that was a perfectly fine arrangement, the problem was I didn't have any money. "What will you accept as payment?" I asked curiously before the man responded. "Hmm, you obviously don't have any gold, but that spear of yours looks nice, I will accept that as payment." I nodded and handed him my spear. It was a good tool while it lasted, but I have the bone dagger to defend myself as well. He led me into the village and I was ready to start my first task.
