The superior cerebellar artery, a branch of the basilar artery, primarily nourishes the upper part of the cerebellum, supplying the upper surface of the cerebellar hemispheres, the upper part of the cerebellar vermis, and the anterior medullary velum.

The anterior inferior cerebellar artery mainly nourishes the front part of the lower cerebellum. Ninety-nine percent arise from the basilar artery, but the specific origin might sometimes vary.
