Chapter 11: Foundation Building Manual, Internal Organ Strengthening
Fei Mingzi thoroughly examined his great-grandson with his spiritual sense and was amazed by his martial foundation. He could say for certain that after Fei Chen's breakthrough to Xiantian his strength was likely to increase by at least tenfold if not more.
"Chen'er, I forbade you from entering Xiantian because your foundation is not yet complete."
Saying so he took out an ancient-looking bamboo scroll from his spatial bag, handing the scroll to Fei Chen.
Taking the ancient scroll Fei Chen started thinking of the elder's remark just now,
'Still not complete? what is he talking about....'
Fei Chen was a little surprised to hear Fei Mingzi's words, he knew his foundation was complete according to the system, but he realized after reading the scroll, the scroll mentioned three steps in foundation building with the first two steps being identical to Basic Body Tempering Exercises, but reading the last step which talked about refining internal organs, he heard the sound of system notification,

Looking at the system notification he realized the limitation of the system,
'So it doesn't give the techniques but only the knowledge to master the techniques in the shortest time possible. Sigh, I should have realized, after all, it's named the proficiency system and not the knowledge system. Looks like getting the yin-yang pendant should be my priority after stepping into Xiantian.'
After checking the technique he passed the technique to Fei Wuji, who after reading it realized why his grandfather never taught this technique to him or his master, he just smiled wryly,
"I can see why you never taught me this technique because of how dangerous it is but are you sure about Fei Chen."
Fei Wuji asked unsure, even if he knew of his son's demonic-level genius, he was still worried.
"Chen'er has a special physique that allows him to gather spiritual energy as naturally as breathing, this should decrease the chance of any accidents happening during energy circulation in his internal organs allowing him to focus solely on the refinement process, as actively strengthening the internal organs would follow with some degree of pain."
After Fei Mingzi's explanation, Fei Wuji didn't say anything, as he realized that the risk of injury during certain martial practices is very common, he was just subconsciously being overprotective of his son, when he saw how dangerous the technique can be.
.....Scene Break.....
Fei Mingzi after giving him the technique scroll asked him to only practice it under the supervision of Cang Wuya or his father to avoid any unfortunate mishaps.
Leaving the mountain peak, the father-son duo returned to their compound, Fei Chen wanted the start practicing the technique as soon as possible so they went to Cang Wuya's courtyard and informed of him the situation. All three arrived at the training yard and Fei Chen sat cross-legged on the ground and tried clear his mind as much as possible, as this technique required his utmost focus he was not going to take any chances.
Focusing inwardly he controlled his spiritual qi gently to flow throw the meridians surrounding his internal organs, following the energy circulation method. After circulating the energy for some time he felt a very slight prickling sensation throughout his innards it was like ants crawling inside his body, it almost made him stop the process, but he remembered Fei Mingzi's words and tried to persevere as long as possible.
After two hours of energy circulation through his organs, the prickling sensation throughout his innards and having to move his spiritual qi continuously made Fei Chen mentally exhausted, opening his eyes he exhaled a turbid breath through his mouth.
Cang Wuya and Fei Wuji meanwhile were keeping all their attention focused on Fei Chen seeing him open his eyes both were relieved of their worries. Cang Wuya asked his grandson,
"Chen'er how are you feeling, is it painful?"
"Grandfather I am okay. It's not painful, it's like ants crawling all over my internal organs."
Both master and disciple heaved a sigh of relief hearing Fei Chen, Fei Wuji was also happy that the technique was not as painful as he had thought.
Fei Chen then excused himself after reassuring his father and grandfather. Reaching his courtyard he looked at the system notification,

'Sigh, the progress is too slow even with my system knowledge. I shouldn't be hasty at this stage, after all, internal organs are the most fragile part of a cultivator in the early stages, if I go with my current pace I should be able to completely refine my organs in around year'
...Scene Break...
It has been a month since Fei Chen started refining his organs, the main difference he could feel in his body was that his stamina regeneration and metabolism has increased by a slight margin.
During this time he has not neglected his other two techniques, training Vajra Fist and Cloudmist Steps every day after refining his internal organs, after getting enlightenment in Vajra Fist the improvement has slowed down, as the technique has started to strengthen his arms to become hard as steel.
The Cloudmist steps on the other hand have given him a pleasant surprise as after reaching 50 % proficiency in it, he had received insights into the technique allowing him to reach the realm of the master. The insights he received were nowhere near the enlightenment state, which also confirmed his assumption about the system that only after reaching 100 % proficiency will he be able to enter the enlightenment state.
Getting out his past month's musings he remembered his grandfather has asked him to come to his courtyard yesterday, he didn't specify the reason, so Fei Chen was curious about what the elder had for him.
Stepping out of his basement where he usually trained, he freshened himself and put on a fresh set of clothes, before leaving for Cang Wuya's courtyard.
