Chapter 137: The wave round 2 part 4
Do you know what a mouthfull of blood tastes like or perhaps the weight of the dirt intrenched under your nails. The ringing that bounces across your skull while slicing through your brain as the vibration rattles your bones.
Well, if not, then you're not Temdrek, an exiled rixis of a now destroyed tribe who was fighting for his life once the wave came. He was a small guy for the rixis being 5,6, and had green skin with patches of white along with brown eyes and hair. This was the 3rd day, which was the last day and the hardest to survive. He managed to scrape by with some large gashes and a river of blood trickling down his face.
In the surroundings were the bodies of all manner of beasts, now food for the plants and other wildlife to consume. Temdrek had won the battle, but he now had no idea what to do, but luckily, he was a Jackrixis even without a tribe he wouldn't immediately die of hunger or thirst but the wounds might do it.
So it's no surprise when he dropped to the ground, causing a small puff of dust and dirt to flee from under his weight. He would bleed out and die if helped didn't come, and the worst part was he was still conscious.
As his blood swept the ground for the last 2 minutes, gaining more ground by the second, he just barely heard footsteps nearby slowly moving in his directions.
"This is it my demise"-Temdrek
If you're wondering why he was so well spoken, that had to do with his exile so well get to that later. What was more important was the footsteps that came in to view and stopped in front of his head.
This was clearly a person and also a rixis, but the only thing in Temdrek's mind was the two things near him.
"Those are some weird feet"-Temdrek
"Well, these weird feet will leave you here to die, you weak dung lover!"-?
Now, by Temdrek's face, he was clearly not expecting the reaction he got, but to have also said it outloud.
"Wait, please, honoured brother, I was wounded during the great wave, and I successfully beat the beasts, but my wounds have ailed me. I don't mean any harm or disrespect. All I ask is for some aid"-Temdrek
After his fast-paced speech, his vistor didn't speak for a few seconds, causing what little feeling he had left to spike in worry.
"Rixis are often foolish, especially the young ones most wouldn't want to ask for help, and the really dumb ones would willingly die"-?
"But not to worry, young one, this wise hunter will help out a fellow hunter any day now keep quiet while I save your life"-?
"Thank you dearly may a thousand honours fall on your name which if I may ask of is?"-Temdrek
"I said be quiet, but if you must know its Naya far seer"-Naya far seer
After that, Temdrek passed out from the blood loss and didn't feel his body being wrapped up and fixed by this stranger. His body was then transported to a near by small cave that was converted into a home.
His new accommodation had dried mud walls with moss and wood to cover the walls and cave with a small fire to keep things warm. Temdrek did not wake up for a long time, and once he did, his first reaction was shock and shivers as he was freezing cold.
His eyes darted around, scanning foe threats, but he soon had to go back to lying down as the pain from his wounds awoke.
He listened out for any noise but only heard the usual forest sounds that came with the territory such as bugs and birds. Only after an hour of waiting and tapping the wall out of bordem did he heard something.
He didn't call for help but just kept his eyes on the crude wooden door. He was basically just a plank of crudely cut wood. After a couple seconds,2 hands grasped the door s side and lifted it up before coming in and putting the door back in its place.
"Why welcome back to the land of the living dirt face you've come at the best time as I managed to catch some meat"-Naya far seer
"Where am I?"-Temdrek
"Well, this is my home, silly boy"-Naya far seer
"Why is it so cold?"-Temdrek
"Well, you weren't awake to keep the flames burning last bag of meat"-Naya far seer
"Have I done something to harm you?"-Temdrek
"Just nearly dying in front of me and leaving me with the body and guilt"-Naya far seer
"Ok, well, I'm sorry for the disturbance, and I thank you again for saving my life"-Temdrek
"No problem, boy, now I'll just get that fire started, and while we're eating, I can get into why your heads filled with rocks"-Naya far seer
"Hm?"-Temdrek
He tried to get more information be the old woman wouldn't budge so he waited until half an hour later when he slice of meat with some mushrooms were on a stone slab.
"Not to sound rude, but should I be eating such whole food after not eating for a few days?"-Temdrek
"Nah, you're all good, young son. I shoved my arm down your throat and fed you a plant mixture paste now eat"-Naya far seer
All he could do at that moment was start enjoying his free meal and the juicy meat that was better than he expected.
"Now let's start with the fact you're by yourself during the wave that's rock move numbers 1, then you claimed to have beat the wave. That's rock move number 2, and also rock move number 3 is trusting a stranger while you're at your weakest"-Naya far seer
"Um"-Temdrek
"You're also dumb because the only reason a rixis would be alone in the wild during the wave. Is that you're from the corrupted clans or an exile, neither desirable"-Naya far seer
"Juding by your look and personality, I'll go with exile"-Naya far seer
"Well, wait, what do you mean I didtn beat the wave? All my foes were beaten and killed"-Temdrek
"Yes, in that one small area, the rixis lands have grown massively. we now live in forests, both green and white. We have settled in the mountains and coasts while some even call the great deserts their home"-Naya far seer
"Your contribution is little in the grand scheme of things you might have eased the pressure off of another group of tribe at most"-Naya far seer
This put Temdrek in a sour mood as he felt nothing but imbarsment and rage even if this woman saved his life.
"But even little things add up, and it doesn't matter what I or you see it as in the long run, you may have saved a few lived from taking those beasts lives when you did"-Naya far seer
Temdrek's face was frozen before a small smile covered his mouth as he realised this old woman while weird and a bit mean was truly kind.
"I know I shouldn't have fought, but I wasn't sure if I could outrun the wave. I've heard it covers all the lands and catches up to all"-Temdrek
"Don't believe some of the tales as most who speak them were the ones who fled or hide behind greater people"-Naya far seer
Naya looked as if she was in another place, clearly thinking of something of great pain for her.
"Quite often the greatest of us don't even get to tell our own tales"-Naya far seer
The conversation died for the night, and they both went to sleep, and soon the night faded, and the day rose.
"I'm sorry to say this, but I can't remember your name. I know you told me before, but it must have gotten lost when things went dark"-Temdrek
"I understand, and it's no problem. My name is Naya far seer. I'm nobody special"-Naya far seer
"Oh nic-Wait, what!?"-Temdrek
"Quiet boy and be careful the wrappings may come loose!"-Naya far seer
"No, what!? You're the Naya far seer, the great leader of the defence team that battled their way into the heart of the burnings beasts lands. Slaughtering their vicious alpha!"-Temdrek
"Nonsense, I helped, that is all"-Naya far seer
"Yeah, but you also knew Cracked claw the great, extinguisher of flames, master of might he was there with you!"-Temdrek
"Funnt how most of us received titles after were dead"-Naya far seer
"You're a living legend. People were saying you were dead either falling with claw or after the battle!"-Temdrek
"Well, I ain't dead. I've been very much alive here even if It might not be for much longer"-Naya far seer
"Exactly what are you doing here you should be living in luxury and raising the next generation of legends!"-Temdrek
"Pft..what you call legends I called friends who are now bones beacuse of those tales people wished to tell"-Naya far seer
"I don't understand?"-Temdrek
Naya didn't seem happy to be bringing back old memories, but she sighed and sat down.
"I didn't want claw to die, and when he did, I was broken he was a good friend and an even better teacher. His sacrifice has been ripped and stitched into some sort of story and has been changed to the point that I don't even recognise the person they talk about!"-Naya far seer
"If that wasn't the worst bit, how about the fame that came with being a part of such a crusade?"-Naya far seer
"Gratitude and jealousy run in the same circles, and the corrupted clans were frothing at the mouth to stain or ruin any good achievement the rixis made"-Naya far seer
"I was constantly called a hero or saviour but I didn't feel like one when I walked upon the corpses of my friends over the years slain in their homes at night or never to be seen again!"-Naya far seer
"I couldn't trust anyone, and the weight of my tribe and gift still burdened me, so I reached those I could and told them to hide and flee"-Naya far seer
"Hundreds claim to love us or want to be us, but they don't seem to notice when we die from being stabbed in the back!"-Naya far seer
A small tear could be seen in her eyes as her hands now weathered by time had wrinkles and bruises on them.
"Did the gods not give you aid?"-Temdrek
"The gods seem to test my constantly they don't stop the waves or even let me get my friends bodies. After all its not like their would be anything left of it"-Naya far seer
"I'm old young one I've done enough I will sit here and then I will fade"-Naya far seer
"I'm sure Naya that all the gods are thankful for your loyalty and service"-Temdrek
"Don't worry, boy, I'm sure they are, and I'm not mad with them.. I just wish things turned out differently"-Naya far seer
A silence was held before the old woman got up and went towards the door.
"The wave is over now though son, so I'll get the fire going and get some heat and a nice mela in your belly, and then you can get to it"-Naya far seer
"Oh..ur well actually I was wondering if I could stay for a little while longer..please?"-Temdrek
"Hm..arg fine you little ass parasite"-Naya far seer
Leaving the scene of these two rixis and in the land of the gods or, more specifically, Jack's living room, he had a decision to make.
"I don't know, I think blue carpet looks nicer"-Jack
"No, no, the red brings the room together"-Nyx
"What does that even mean?"-Jack
"Wel-"-Nyx
"Jack, stop stalling a pick the skill!"- Nancy
"Hah!"-Jack
