Chapter 98: Vampires

I was awoken in the middle of the night by the alert of one of my Minions.

Both Chloe and I quickly got up and opened the door of the hut.

"This is new, I haven't been alerted by one of my Minions in weeks."

"Is there a big issue?"

"I'm not sure yet..."

As I looked out into the settlement, I noticed that there was something attacking my Minions. It had managed to make its way past the walls and was attacking my internal forces. I had already lost quite a few archers and other combat Minions.

I drew [Mayuri-Luc-Ei] as I approached this mysterious enemy.

Its movements looked humanoid, however, it seemed much too strong to be a human and most importantly, it seemed too 'wild'. It was nimble and strong, tearing my Minions apart without much trouble.

Suddenly, I received some sort of notification.

[The Shadow Realiser is your weapon against the vampires.]

My weapon... against the vampires...?
