Unknown Time

A man later walked into the room where the baby was staying for the time being and he had a pair of intelligent and curious eyes.

The woman had come close and carefully asked. "Dr Gero, how did it go? Did you get support for your research?"

The small baby had once again been surprised as her theories had been confirmed. 'So I was not wrong but now I need to work out what time period this is. Is it a time when he was in his youth or is it one of his descendants or ancestors? Also what support? Don't tell me that he is the very same as those within his bloodline! If so then I can expect this to be troublesome.'

She could vaguely make out his youthful appearance and how he was dressed in old styles of clothes which could be described as rags used by a travelling doctor.

He had a bag on his back used for travelling and he held a notebook in one hand while a small container in the other that had a beetle within.

The Gero family line had some similarities in how they were geniuses in their fields of study whether it be biology, android technology, creating bio androids or any other field but they mostly had an interest in bugs which is shown in their most used creations of fields of study.

Cell was modelled after a bug and so were the many other creations like the monitoring devices and other offensive types.

They also had much less of an interest in their fellow humans and did not have much of a business mind so they often ended up working on the side of history so that they could get funding and resources for their research.

Dr Gero worked for the Red Ribbon Army and escaped when they fell apart which had fuelled his hate towards Goku so he had put all of his genius and science towards killing him and then creating a perfect life form.

As the baby had expected, the man had remained indifferent and said. "Yes, I will soon be accepted by the lord and will begin my project soon."

The woman had shown a look of surprise and then patted his shoulder. "I hope that you can be successful and thank you again for saving this child. Although she looks a little weak right now, she was able to get past the worst part and survive. How did you know how to find the child?"

The man answered. "I had been treating patients and had started to hear strange rumours about pregnant woman who had been alone that were later found dead. Their babies would also be found dead within the room but it was as if someone had been in the room previously. With the appearances of the children, it is obvious that this is the work of demons. Either the child was supposed to die after childbirth due to incompatible bloodlines or being in the wrong environment suited for their survival.. or they had been taken to the rumoured demon realm and was exposed to the miasma there which resulted in her being abandoned once she was not suited to living there."

The doctor was very intelligent and was able to piece many things together from what he had heard and seen during his travels.

He was very lucky to come across the location of another village that had a pregnant woman within so he had briefly visited her to determine the expected date of birth of the child.

He had remained far away and kept out of the range of the demons and the villagers since they seemed to be under some form of manipulation but once the demons had left, the spells had been released and the villagers had returned to normal but with some missing memories.

He had occasionally went out to continue his studies on various insects and did his job as a travelling doctor so he was often away, unlike previous times when he had missed his chance, he had arrived just on time to revive the baby.

Although he did not know that the baby had not been the same baby that had died because it now possessed a different soul, he had become interested that it had survived and his curiosity had been piqued.

Demons rarely show themselves in the human realm and when they do, they use disguises or different magics to erase their presences so he was only ever able to gain some samples of the dead hybrids.

The doctor looked over at the pastel pink skinned baby with a tiny amount of hair on her head that was pastel green. "I will take her into my care for now."

The woman showed a look of relief because although she was relieved that a life was saved, it would be troublesome to keep a demon hybrid within the village. "Really? Doctor you are so kind! You have already saved her but now you are taking her in. You are truly a generous person."

The scorn that a child of her appearance would face would be great and the previous hatred that humans had towards demons may even be out onto her so remaining within the village where peoples thoughts were more closed off and acted as a small group was not something that was good for the baby.

Those involved with the baby would be bullied by the others and pushed aside by the other villagers.

Depending on the age of the world, the population of humans could either be a large majority of earth and there would be a small amount of other races or hybrids that were a mix of humans, monsters and animals but in an earlier time, the population of other rarer races may even be much smaller and they would receive further scorn.

After the Animorphaline drug was released by Magic Pharmaceuticals and an inferior version was released by the Red Ribbon Army at around the time when Bulma was ten years old, many earthlings had been permanently transformed into beastmen so the discrimination had started to lessen a little more.

The baby squinted its small eyes and gazed at the man. 'This old man… he is taking me not because of kindness! He is just wanting to inspect my body to check of I have anything he can use for his research!'

For her to be able to survive death and be different from the others, many would believe that she had something special about her or she had some resistance to the miasma of the demon realm.

Most scientists that had discovered such a person would become curious and would wish to see if it could be replicated in some way so the baby was the best prize for the doctor at the present time even if it was just a spur of the moment decision to take her in.

It was quite rare for a young man in his twenties and who was usually always travelling to suddenly adopt a child unless they were wishing to pass on their skills so the woman had expected the child to be raised as an apprentice of the doctor.

The woman had asked. "Then have you thought of a name?"

Dr Gero looked at the child for a moment and answered halfheartedly. "Blush."

The woman nodded. "I will go help you get anything you may need, Will you be staying within the village or will you stay somewhere else? Do you need any tips on childcare?"

Dr Gero nodded. "I may be staying somewhere away from here but I have to remain close so the lord can find me. I will need some advice and supplies for to raise the child but I may also need someone to watch over her when I am busy."

The woman nodded and left the room while the man sat down and started going over his notes within the book he carried.

The room as filled with silence and the occasional sound of the pages turning.

The baby lay there and felt a little upset. 'Well..damn!'

From that day the small baby named Blush had started to silently plot on how to survive the madman and make him lose interest in her.

She had no room for other thoughts like figuring out the current timeline since she was still far too small and weak to do anything about the current events so she put her focus on the present problem.
