Chapter 103: Overwhelmed

(Trigger Warning⚠️)

As they landed they could see the vastly as spotless and the tree so on unblemished that it looked like nothing at all had occurred here aside from the lone commander's cold mangled body and small trails of blood.

They landed at the large door entrance and entered to see Wo Shie holding a small black and white orb in his hands while silent tears fell from his face.

Albus guided his mothers body towards the stairs for Wo Shie to examine, when she came into view all he could think was how he never really knew her.

He glanced at her lifeless body, and back to the orb in his hands before silently standing and walking down the stairs and out of the castle.

"You report to the council I will remain here with the boy." Albus said before silently following Wo Shie out of the castle.

Wo Shie walked for about half an hour until he was at the edge of the tree where he only looked down. Before Albus could even consider the boys thoughts and emotions he jumped off the edge.

Albus quickly flew after him grabbing his body out of the air before I smashed into a branch. "What the hell are you trying to do!" Albus for the first time had raised his voice

"Why?" Wo Shie said before Albus landed on a branch.

Before saying anything Albus thought, he recalled everything he knew about Wo Shie even looked into the information that made Wo Shie up and lived a short flashback of Wo Shie's life.

Albus had no words he only could pat the young child's head wrapping him in his energy and flying back up and into Taijutu's abode.

Seeing the mangled body of the lone commander for the first time Wo Shie felt his heart break again, "If I wasn't here none of this would be happening."

"You worry too much, if you weren't here everyone would have some different problem to face." Albus said almost instinctively.

They entered the castle to see Wu Lanlang's body lying at the bottom of the stairs. "Put her in this castles incubation chamber, there is one here right."

Hearing this Wo Shie nodded looking in the direction of the meditation chamber, for all he knew that was the same thing 'How long did I even know her for).

Albus could see the full empty look in Wo Shie's eyes and decided it best they leave the castle and go somewhere Wo Shie could feel more at ease.

"Let's go back to the city below we will find an incubation chamber there, and I'm sure your friend…" Albus started to say.

"I want to be alone…" Wo Shie said cutting Albus off.

"Will you continue your training little Shie?" Albus asked.

"What for?" Wo Shie asked before sitting down and replaying all the events he had just experienced over again in his head.

"You might not always have an envoy come and rescue you." Albus said.

"If I wasn't here nobody would have to rescue me." Wo Shie said.

"Just stop already, there are many people who go through unfair lives everyday, consider yourself lucky to still have yours and become strong enough you don't need anyone!" Albus said in a firm tone finally getting Wo Shie to look at him.

Wo Shie looked at his mothers body, and back at Albus "I guess I've known you longer than I knew her…" he said the pain still in his voice of the lost loved one.

"You can't give up here, in this world if you're strong enough life and death aren't even beyond your grasp, but as you become older, wiser, and stronger you'll realize the most painful moments are what made you the strongest. Albus said causing tears to silently start falling out of Wo shies eyes.

"I won't lose anymore." Wo Shie said with a determined look in his eye. Hearing the voice of his mother, the witch doctor, truth, and Albus telling him to get stronger

After saying this Wo Shie sat down in meditation, he had a lot of emotions he wanted to sort out. When he realized how overwhelmed with emotion he was he began to study the feelings he felt.

The overwhelming rage that made him want to destroy the man in the undercroft of the castle.

The betrayal and disappointment he feels when his mother attacked him and said she would kill him.

The sadness and loss he felt from knowing his mother truly died and that Lola was unresponsive.

And the incompleteness like it was all his fault and now he was no longer whole.

He carefully analyzed these feelings over hours that became days to the point he could push himself to feel them to an overwhelming extent or not at all.

Albus only stood silently observing while he had recieved word that the council of light wanted to see him and Wo Shie as soon as possible.
