Chapter 104: I LOVE CASSANDRA
After dinner, Ella runs to her room and shuts the door loudly, leaning on it for a while and exhaling deeply, to calm her nerves. "Cassandra! That bastard Witch!" She curses gently beneath her breath. "Ella locks the door and hurriedly opens her wardrobe searching for her diary. "Where is it?!" She asks herself loudly and it takes a while before she could find it. Maybe because she is so unsettled at the moment.
She gently sits on her bed holding her diary. "For how long will I keep hiding from people? Until when do I have to pretend like I am not in pains and act like I have no worries?" Ella asks herself in pains.
Even if she keeps hiding from everyone, she doesn't want to hide from Shamim anymore. It is now getting too difficult to hide who she truly is from him. But the most devastating of all is the thought of his reaction when he finds out who she really is.
Someone knocks gently on the door and Ella quickly hide her diary again, before opening the door. It happens to be Shamim.
"What are you doing in my room?" Ella asks scornfully as she holds the door not allowing him in.
"Other sisters will welcome their older brother in with smiles and ask him why he looks moody." Shamim says with a sarcastic tone.
Ella rolls her eyes accepting the defeat, she lets go of the door and allows him in. The both of them sits on the bed and looks at each other for a while.
"Aren't you going to ask me about what I want to say?" Shamim asks.
"So I have to ask before you start talking?" Ella asks too.
"You are so mean!" He exclaims and knocks her head.
"Ouch!" That was painful!"
"Learn to be nice, even if it's just one bit." Shamim whispers.
"You ain't nice either." Ella laughs.
"You kidding right?" Shamim asks and laughs. "I am the best brother in the world."
"Best brother my foot." Ella retorts with a frown and folds her arms.
Shamim takes a very deep breath and that got Ella pretty worried already. She has never seen him do that in such a manner.
"Is everything okay with you?" Ella asks.
"Not all." Shamim shakes his head. "Everything just seem scattered."
"What is that? Do you issues at work?" Ella asks again.
"It's not about work, it's about me." Shamim says quietly.
"What is wrong with you?" Ella asks very worried.
"It's about Cassandra." Shamim says bluntly.
"Cassandra?" Ella asks and scoffs. "You mean you are in this mood because of Cassandra?"
"Yes." He nods shyly.
"Unbelievable!!!!! What did she do to you?" She asks.
"She didn't do anything, I just don't like the way you are all rejecting her." Shamim answers quietly.
"Probably you teach her to be cultured and some respect too." Ella shrugs her shoulders. "Maybe we will get to like her then."
"Maybe?" Shamim asks loudly.
"Yes." Ella nods.
"Come on Ella!" Shamim groans. "She is actually a very cool person."
"Then how come I haven't figured that out?" Ella asks again.
"I don't know maybe because you just don't like her."
"I am not the only one complaining about her, mom and dad does too. Why don't you talk to them, why are you attacking me alone?" Ella asks.
"Ella, please. I really like this girl. I want to be with her forever, and I don't think it will be possible if you all keep turning your backs at her." Shamim says solemnly.
"Turning backs at her?" Miss Smith asks loudly. "We are not doing that, we are just treating her the way she presents herself to us. They always say, first impression matters a lot."
"So she managed to give you all a bad impression?"
"She gave us a bad impression." Ella says bluntly.
"Please, you all should just stop. I don't like this at all, it's making me feel very uncomfortable." Shamim takes a deep breath again. "Today, I am supposed to bring her here with me, but I can't because of you people."
"Speaking of which." Ella adjusts herself and moves closer to her brother. "Don't you think it is time you move out and start staying alone?"
"I have considered that too." He says.
"At least, if you had an apartment to yourself. You wouldn't be worried of us being cold to your mighty Cassandra."
"Ella! This is not really about Cassandra, you know?" Shamim asks looking at his sister scornfully.
"It's not about her, but she is one of the main reasons, not so?" Ella asks.
Shamim shrugs his shoulders practically admitting to the fact Ella stated. "Whatever, I just want you to be more nice to her when you see her. You know, make her feel accepted and loved."
"I do not like her." Ella whispers with a smile. "But since you are so mad for her, I do not have a choice than to learn to love her."
"Thank you baby sis." Shamim says happily and hugs her. "You are the best!"
"Get out!" Ella says loudly pushing him off her. "Is this how you hug Cassandra?"
"What is wrong with my hug now Ella?" Shamim asks already prepared to be criticized by his sister.
"Never mind." Ella waves her hand and stands. "Is that all you have to say?"
"You don't mean it!" Shamim exclaims loudly. "You are already asking me out of your room?"
"Of course, please get out right now." Ella pulls her brother out of bed and dragged him to the door. "I need my privacy."
"Privacy for what? Are you hiding something from me?" Shamim asks again.
"It is non of your business! Just get out!" Ella says and pushes him out the door then locks it immediately.
"Only God knows what she is hiding, I hope it's is not something scary though." Shamim says to himself as he walks back to his room.
