Chapter 2: A new life, Horay...

Slowly opening my eyes I find myslef feeling like I'm starving and laying on the ground of some random trash filled, shitty smelled alley with an uncanny resemblance to my house but since this is my new life I guess I shouldn't let man's past actions controll me anymore, looking around with an stoic face I can see that the sky is a bright unpolluted blue color and it is many wisps of clouds floating through the sky but I ingore it all and look down at the letter in laying in my hand, I lazily lift my head from the ground and slowly drag my body up from my ground as I briefly scan my surroundings to check if anyone is lingering nearby. When sitting up I quickly noticed my body is larger then I remember despite the change being not very noticeable while sittiting down, after making sure nobody is near I unfold the letter to read its contents- "Hello kid!, I figured I should a least tell you what the power I gave you does and don't worry its not usefull to me anymore anyways, I never named it but you use it to consume others abilities and memories and make them your own, you just have to touch em, and as my champion you can consume anything that can fit in your mouth as long as your durable enough. Oh but I forgot to mention that all my abilities come with a curse... Of an insatiable appetite Bahahahah!" Having finished reading the letter I wonder who laughs in written letters (becasue even with my limited socialization I know thats not normal) and want to curse out loud at the same time but I instead opt to throwing the letter and apparently the paper was something special becasue instead of disinigrating from the force it flew through the air faster than the speed of sound and left a large gaping hole in the ground wherever the hell it landed but me being myself can't really bother myself to check where it landed so I just slowly walk out of the alley and try to get a better control of my power with every step but I'm glad to notice that despite the horrendous strength of my body (including my senses) I quickly learned to control it not to a perfect level but well enough to not to accidently destroy stuff. Finnally exiting the alley I walk into a somewhat modern looking city but I can feel multiple energies in the air, the city inhabits a large variety of humanoid creatures such as elves, dwarves, half gaints, dryads, beast-kin, Merfolk, and humans. The city has long winding streets paved with a smooth, dark stone that shimmers in the sun with side walks on the side made of even light colored stone bricks, every once in a while lavish carriages would drive by drawn by what looks like mechanical horses, and the building are mostly made of dark colored woods and varieties of different stones with glass windows, there are floating transparent orbs with little crystals inside that seem to absorb the sunlight, on this particular street their are many shops with wide windows showing off their products which seem to be a mix of machinery and magic, looking around a little more their are large public bathhouse and many lakes and parks near residential areas, their is also veiws of tall ancient trees jutting over the walls surrounding the city. After a while I stop obsevering my surroundings and noticed I subconsciously walked into what smells like a diner or restaurant the delicious smell is overwhelming my senses torturing my poor stomach further, Instead of rushing in I move at a high speed towards a few people's wallets and empty them one by one in one quick and smooth motion without a single soul noticing and no mercy for my victims, after robbing a few people of their money I return to the same spot I was in earlier and walked into the diner and sat down at the first table I saw. The diner I walked in to is a small but clean diner with a cozy atmosphere, after inspecting my surroundings I pick up the menu and inspect its contents after reading it for a little while a I see a young looking brunnet wearing a waitress outfit appeared at the end of my table and quickly asked for my order- "H-e-ello sir!, what would you like to drink?" Seeing the young waitresses face flushing so much to the point her face looks like a strawberry is a little amusing but I can't help but find it odd unless she's socially awkward or I might just be very handsome.. (eh... I'll check my appearance later) "Sweet tea" after hearing my words she visibly gets a little disappointed and responds- "oh... okay coming right up" now that she left I continued to read through the menu failing to pick a single dish when all they all look very appetizing due to my hunger, leaving me sitting stiffly at my table staring at the menu with a little frustration showing through my stoic face... but thankfully a savior appeared! (not really more of an annoyance if anything) Staring at the girl who suddenly sat down in front of me I ask in bored tone- "aren't you supposed to ask for permission first?"
