Chapter 97: Prophecy Fulfilled, IV

Mai Sakaguchi POV:

It is a sunny morning, nothing could go wrong, right?

Well, no. Everything is going in the worst way possible.

My comrades have all disappeared.

The guy I love is in a barrier-like coffin.

I get allied with a psychopath.

I begin the journey back to the central city with him.

We move onto the ninth floor without finding any of my comrades.

And now we're being chased by any demihuman possible.

"Demihuman?" I thought out loud.

"Elijah… You're a demihuman, right?" 

"Yeah, and?" He frowned at the question posed to him at such a time.

"You probably can escape through this alive if you just kill me." 

"That's true."

"Why are you not doing it then?" I asked him with an unsure tone.

"Because I made a deal with you—Hmph!" He stopped an arrow inches away from my face.

"Well, thanks."
