Chapter 60: 7th Floor - [ Chapter - 60 ]
As Ho-Seok was appraising the boss, the legs of the mech suddenly a burst of flames as if it was being propelled like rockets and was now right beside Ho-Seok, the mech then tried to hit with it's right arm with a back hand but he was able to react in time and move out the way as he created some distance between them.
While he was creating distance, he already drew his bow and there was now an arrow ready, Ho-Seok also added a tip of molten electricity to the arrow and forcefully combined Calin's frost ability into the arrow as well. With that the arrow was now then blessed by an plant spirit as vines started to appear around the mana arrow.
He then launched it towards the boss as he then suddenly rapidly firing arrows at them as well, although they were a lot weaker than the first arrow the amount of arrows launched weren't small as well as he launched them at all different directions so they were all redirecting towards the boss at different angles.
The Kobold Engineer had to block the first arrow or else it would've completely destroyed the mech as it saw it couldn't dodge from how the other arrows were redirecting towards him, so it made the quick split decision to launch missiles at the arrow so it did and he also launched some at some of the other arrows.
It was able to block the first arrow that Ho-Seok fired but as he tried hitting the other arrows, the firing speed of the missles weren't as fast as Ho-Seok's rapid fire launches although Ho-Seok's mana was almost at half from just that one attack he did, the mech was now being heavily damaged.
Some of the arrows were also able to hit the launcher on the mech causing an explosion at the back of the boss, the mech was now totally destroyed from all the arrows that Ho-Seok launched and so he then asked Calin to transform back into the daggers as he then dashed towards the kobold engineer.
Now as he appeared beside the kobold mech, he poured some of his mana into the black dagger as he lightly cut both of the legs of the mech as it was surprisingly still standing at how stable it was but as he cut both of the legs with the death ability all the metal at the legs of the mech suddenly started to rust and break down.
After it fell to the ground, the kobold engineer started to panick as it tried to run away from Ho-Seok but it was pretty slow and weak without it's mech so he just cleanly sliced off the boss's neck and ended the test to clear the first floor as he did this, he was then transported to the next floor as a blinding light blinded him.
Once he was now on the 7th floor, he looked around as he was now in the mountains, the place was snowy and freezing, luckily Ho-Seok was able to cover himself with his molten electricity and Calin was also able to lessen the freezing around him so he would use less energy to keep up the molten electricity.
Then as he was walking through the mountains, he started heading to the direction of a nearby village, while he was walking he asked Olivia to transform into something more appropriate since him walking around in a ninja like outfit in the snow would stand out a little too much and so she did change her form.
She changed into a fur outfit fit for snow, Ho-Seok even felt cooler as Olivia's form already had a passive heating ability alongside a freezing and cold resistance ability, so Ho-Seok really didn't need to actively use his ability now and so he was now able to focus on his strength for traveling even faster.
Ho-Seok surrounded his legs in molten electricity as he focused more on boosting his strength and once he arrived at the village, it was nearly closed down and where he actually headed was one of the mapped out closed down villages created by the Tower and so no one really visited them very often.
Especially since they found absolutely nothing in all of them and so they had to either repair or create their own villages on the 7th floor. Since it seemed like there was nothing really there except the monsters and the rare minerals on the mountain however Ho-Seok knew that wasn't the case.
Since the answer was in one of the caves on the 7th floor but that was only after the people who decided to open buildings on the floor decided to scout the area. To make sure it was a habitable place and to mark out the spawning areas for the monsters to make sure they won't enter the buildings and villages they created.
When they found the cave, there was actually pictures once again and it showed mines and villages, and in the center of each village had a bell a seemingly normal one even when you rung it. But you needed to imbue mana into it as you run the bell for it to show it's true power and so Ho-Seok headed to the town bell.
As he now was near the bell, he imbued mana into his hands as he transferred it into the bell and then rung it one time, the place shook as a white beam of light came out of the bell as if it scanned the area, Ho-Seok then rung it again, an even bigger quake appeared as the place started getting too bright.
He then rung it a third time as the area around him didn't shake this time but the bell's ringing suddenly cut off as another white pulse appeared but as it hit through him the white light started to surround Ho-Seok but then suddenly voices could be heard saying, "Woah! There's light around our bodies.".
Although it was quickly cut off as they were blinded by the light that surrounded and as Ho-Seok opened his eyes, they were now in a more green and lush, warmer environment which before the people who were in the village with him would notice him, he quickly went and hid to the nearby buildings.
