Chapter 56: Mock Battle

All of the soldiers in training from the fourth tower gather in the morning for their jog. There is already some slight improvement from the previous day due to the supplements they consumed.

But even with these improvements, they are still exhausted by the end of it, Ray and a couple of others are brought away to train in hand-to-hand combat going over the very basic stances in the Marrin Kingdom fighting style Manutheus.

It focuses mostly on defending against attacks while either increasing the distance between the attacker or maneuvering around them to use spells. While this sounds basic in concept it is surprisingly effective if someone is good enough at it.

It adds the principle of mana infusion within the body to create miniature arcane shields to help deflect weapons while leaving your hands free for magic.
