A King Above Gods
" We spirits exist in a different world which is the spirit realm, that world and this world exist as a parallel to each other. Only spirits can travel between these two worlds, no human was ever capable of doing that except for one. That was Aesir, the human who came to me in the spiritual world to make a contract." Vetra started his story, Aesir sat on a chair in the protected space which suddenly appeared out of nothing. Everything around him was white except for himself.
" After successfully making a contract with me, he brought me to this world. I always knew about the existence of the parallel world but seeing it myself was different. However, I soon become disappointed with this world. There was no order in the world, people with strength dominated the weak, dragons ruled over giants, giants ruled over elves, and elves ruled over humans and dwarves."
" They were all doing the bidding of a greater race and Aesir was hell-bent on ending this tyranny. After one year of journeying together with him and facing some small challenges, using my powers he started a revolt against everything."
" After Conquering one race after another, he created an Empire. However, he didn't know that doing so would incur the wrath of the gods. The gods started to coax some of the mortals to start a revolt, they gave them powers and even created some new races. Those new races are what you call monsters or demons now, they have only one purpose which is to kill the races that were ruled by Aesir."
" They started chaos not caring how many times Aesir and other races such as dragons and titans dealt with them. The monsters never seem to end, every time they attacked, their number increased from the last time. He decided to capture these very gods and end them."
" This was when the war of Existence begin, we had underestimated these gods. There was not one or two but hundreds of them, beings that lived in the places of the world where mortal races could never reach. They had always monitored everything and they looked down upon them."
" Aesir again decided to enter the spirit world and made contracts with eight other primordial spirits. He started an all-out war with other gods, leading every race to fight against these powerful beings."
" He fought and killed the gods and sealed those who he wasn't able to kill. One man who was the king of everything fought even the gods for his goals. His power became so unfathomable that even his name was enough to scare the remaining gods."
" And then one day he suddenly asked me for a favor." Suddenly Vetra stopped talking.
" What Favor?"
" Oye, I am not telling a story to make you sleep where did the bed come from," Vetra shouted as he noticed that instead of sitting on a chair, Aesir was now laying on a bed.
" While you were telling the story, I decided to test Pandora's power. It seems he can create anything within this space, it's pretty useful. Anyway, you can stop telling me this story of a person like that, this Aesir of yours was nothing but a fool." Aesir said.
" Don't you dare call him a fool!" Vetra spoke in a very threatening tone but it didn't work on Aesir.
" Why not? What did he fight for? What did he achieve?" Aesir asked, " He was a fool if he risked his life again and again without a reason, I can only think that he fought for himself." There was silence for a few seconds after Aesir said this.
" Your Aesir never had a reason to start a war after he became strong enough to fight even against the gods. In a way, he started a war which you spoke way lightly off, only the weak must have been killed. In your story, you didn't tell how many soldiers did he lose, or how many lives he had taken. He was just a man who fulfilled his ambitions and when some gods challenged his ambitions he started another war."
" Those Gods were evil and He united the world together, he fought for justice so everyone could live without being oppressed. Do you even understand this? he was a righteous man and he was a king above the gods." Vetra shouted.
" He should have no reason to start a war even if he had some type of grudge then why would he get others involved? He should have protected his race and should have stopped there since he had ambitions of creating an empire he must not be acting with a sense of revenge. I am sure he did it because he wanted to ultimately become the strongest or what you called ' A king above gods'. Answer me what would have happened if some didn't accept him as their ruler."
" I am sure you can count a lot of people who were his enemies but instead of fighting him, they made innocent humans under his rule suffer. He should have not involved others if he cared for them, everyone was just a tool to him. His empire was built after massacring armies so he is the biggest sinner."
" You need to be re-educated about what a king is," Vetra replied.
" A King is someone who leads his subjects towards peace and prosperity," Aesir argued. " What do you think a king is?"
" A king is different from others, a king is selfish, a king is prideful, a king is merciless and evil but at the same time, he is also the opposite of all of these qualities," Vetra said. " A King must have everything."
" Your definition of a king, isn't it flawed? According to what I had learned it's completely wrong." Aesir said suddenly he got curious after what Vetra said.
" Where did you learn that meaning of a king?"
" Well, there are many books that say the same thing."
" I can not believe a descendant of Aesir is learning this kind of thing from the books"
" Stop calling me his descendant, why do you even think that I am?"
" I had assumed that since you look like him."
It was then they also saw Pandora saying something through a written message.
[ You are his descendant.]
