Maski was undoubtedly a genius in his own freakish way; his genetic research was stripping away the mysticism from the werewolf condition, and while some wolves saw that as sacrilege, Maski was determined to convince them it was a necessary step if werewolves were to survive in the modern world.
'We managed to sabotage Maski's werewolf army in New York,' Jack said, 'but so far, we've learned absolutely nothing about what he's planning here in Chicago.' Ava could hear the frustration in his voice.
'I may be able to shed some light on that,' Amon confessed.
Both Jack and Ava sat up straight in their seats.
