Raven

Her eyes shone with excitement as she vowed "I promise I won't make a mess; I will cover the floors with sheets to protect them."

She knew she shouldn't be setting up a home here, if this could be called her home. She supposed that if Angelo was the same boy she always had known that he was true to his word and if he wanted her for now then there would be no escape.

So for now she decided to start painting for her next exhibition, maybe the change of scene would provide her with the fresh inspiration that she needed.

His heated gaze focused on hers before he replied "It won't be a mess if it is your work, feel free to make this place your own." His words seemed to be soft which was very unlike his stature and his metallic eyes shone down on her.

"Can I set up now?" She asked with enthusiasm. She had the urge to set up her area right away.

"Your belongings are in the boxes in our room, but I would prefer you wait until morning. You were sick and you need your rest. Though if you are telling me that you are feeling better I can think of other things to do with the rest of our evening." He said flashing his perfect teeth in a broad grin.

She was sure he could have a million girls fall to their knees with one of his smiles, but he did it so rarely that somehow she felt special.

"No no, I am still sick. "She said, her cheeks turning a pale pink as the lie slipped past her lips, she glanced away from his delectable dimples.

Being with him now the years seemed to melt away and she felt the same as she had all those years ago.

His light laugh was a symphony to her ears, "That's what I thought, let's get ready for bed." He demanded, his full lips tipping into an arrogant smirk that caught the breath in her lungs. She bit her lip, turning away from him and his suggestion.

"Where are you going?" She eyed him sceptically with her arms folded in challenge.

He hummed thoughtful as he responded, "I will get my laptop and join you." He ginned as if he was happy she had confronted his behaviour.

"And I can't sleep in another room. "She enquired with hope that he would agree and also hope that he wouldn't.

She was drawn to him as she had always been so it was a battle between her head and her heart.

He stalked towards her like a panther with his eye on his prey, "The sooner you realise you are mine and are going nowhere without me the better. I am not a man who beats around the bush when it comes to what I want". He said as if where fact.

He was breath taking with his dark locks and sinfully silver eyes that shone down on her.

"Stubborn man" she murmured, waiting for his response. He was so close to her now, she wanted to run and embrace him at the same time.

A warning grumbled in his chest at the very idea of letting her go. "You have no idea." He whispered.

She felt daring enough to tease him further "Possessive much?" She asked, as his hand slid round her, his hand felt like it belonged there.

Although separation had changed them both, they had grown into one another's perfect match.

He raised his brows before answering "Of you?" He pulled her closer to him, "Always ciccio."

"Whatever, I am going for a shower first." She turned and saw him following behind her, her eyebrows rose questioning, "Emm where do you think you are going?"

He laughed darkly, "I just want to show you how to turn the shower on."

"Oh okay." She responded as she turned and once again started to walk into his bathroom.

The bathroom was spacious but with his bulky frame it seemed to suddenly be suffocating. Maybe it was effect that he was starting to have on her.

He showed her the shower mechanisms and left the water running for her. He turned and stood in front of her waiting.

She smiled and made a shooing motion with her hands.

He laughed again and walked towards her, kissing her forehead and departing the bathroom.

"I will be just outside should you need me." He shouted back.

She tuned and closed the door behind him before grumbling "Yea who's needs you."

"I heard that." He shouted back in retort.

She rolled her eyes and started to undress, she got into the shower and washed her hair and body thoroughly. She enjoyed the heat and water jets against her skin. She used his products, hoping he wouldn't mind before exiting the shower and drying off with his cosy towels.

"Dammit." She cursed.

Only then did she realise her error. She had come into the bathroom without a change of clothing. She gripped the soft towel closer around her body.

Sighing she tentatively opened the bathroom door and sure enough Angelo sat on the bed reclining with his back to the bed frame.

His chest was bare choosing to only wear loose black jogging bottoms. He was built like a warrior his strong muscles primed for battle. She wondered if during throws of passion if he would be gentle or act like the warrior she thought he was.

It was hard to form a sentence with his body on display right in front of her, she had been unwell and it had allowed her to feel more daring but now she didn't know what to say or do.

She glanced away from him when she saw him smirk, knowing she was impressed with his body.

At the bottom of the bed was a casual black t-shirt.

Biting her lip she asked, "Aren't you going to put that on." She indicated to the bottom of the bed.

"No. It seems I like seeing you wear my clothes. Plus this way we make a pair." He answered with not a hint of embarrassment.

Shameless man she thought. She took the offered t-shirt but his words stopped her movements.

"Wait." He murmured.

She stood waiting and watching his every move.

He produced a hair dryer and motioned for her to sit on the edge of the bed. With careful movements and a tender touch he blew dry her hair. The sensation was so calming she nearly fell asleep.

Feeling he had moved to put away the hair dryer she was suddenly lost for words, this titan of a man was so kind to her. She bit her lip contemplating his actions as she walked to his walk in closet hearing him lightly chuckle as she scurried away.

Once dressed she left the closet and walked into bed and lifted the covers, once inside his soft bed she lay down on the edge of the bed and closed her eyes pretending to sleep.

But not a minute later she felt warm arms engulf her and pull her towards him and into the middle of the bed.

She knew with his warmth surrounding her she would sleep peacefully feeling secure in his arms, he chased away all her demons.
