It wasn’t hard to find Mingan and surprisingly easy to coax her off the table and pry the still-full glass from her sticky fingers.

Shani wished Cas good luck as he guided the drunk she-wolf toward a table in the far back to talk her down from her state.

“Are you not going with them?”

She whirled at the male voice, promptly running face-first into him. She stumbled back with embarrassment flushing her cheeks. “I’m so sorry—”

Words failed when she looked up. He was a tall, rather lithe figure with the gray eyes of the Silverclaw pack and the white hair of Crescent, his skin honeyed, making his white teeth bared in a charming smile stand out.

“Ah—” She cleared her throat. “Not yet. I thought I’d—”

The pretty male gestured to the empty table beside him. “Sit with me.”
