Chapter 219: A Small Detour II

The next couple of stormcloaks fall just as quickly as me and Inigo knock out our respect targets as we come upon the entrance to the tomb in the upper south end of the ravine.

We drag our stormcloaks to the edge of the protected bonfire in the ravine to keep them from freezing to death as we then make our way into the tomb after taking their coins and other valuables.

Once inside we find ourselves in a small entryway with four more stormcloaks patrolling around the ruins.

Sneaking around, I take one out by lunging from behind a pile of rubble and pulling him to the ground as I choke him.

I see Inigo take one out who crosses his path while patrolling around a pillar.

The last two we take out with a tackle, I take mine to the ground and give them a quick strike to the head. As I hear Inigo do something similar.

We then inspect the temporary camp the stormcloaks seemed to have set up, looting an unlocked chest and several urns.

We make our way down a couple flights of loose stone stares before coming to a somewhat large burial chamber with a collapsed walkway.

I motion to Inigo to look around, with him circling around the room using its second floor to sneak around.

After several long moments I see him on the opposing walkway where he holds up four fingers before putting down his pinky as he then points out the three remaining stormcloaks on the floor below us.

I think what to do next as I see two of the stormcloaks stop to talk beside each other as I get an idea.

I position myself just right before jumping of the second floor and landing on the both of them, smashing their heads into the ground as I hear a similar thud off in the distance as Inigo then makes his way over to me with a big smile on his face whispering excitedly, "This is so exciting my friend, we need to do this more often!"

"I'll try and see what jobs the guild is able to offer us, but we need to keep quiet now. Follow me." I whisper back, as Inigo nods in affirmation as we make our way back up the stairs to take the alternative path into one of the largest rooms that has a few stormcloaks making their way around.

Oblivious to our intrusion into their mission this far.

We make our way along the raised second story as I see a center platform when I have an idea.

I motion to Inigo to gather the things for my idea as I make my way down to the floor below as I find the best spot to lay my trap.

I sneak to the steps leading up to the large treasure chest on the raised platform before I stand up and stop sneaking. Waiting for them to detect my presence.

It takes nearly a full minute before one of the stormcloaks notice me, quickly shouting and alerting the three others in the room.

"Halt! Who goes there?!" A man shouts as he draws his sword, rushing over to me as the rest follow close behind. Drawing their weapons and surrounding me in a perfect circle as I raise my hands as if to surrender. My face hidden in shadow.

"How did you get down here?" One of the stormcloaks questions me as I simply move my hand, snapping my fingers.

Snap... CRASH!

And the four of them crumple to the ground, each with a small shattered urn beside their unconscious bodies.

"Did I get them all?" Inigo whispers from the bridge above me.

"Yes, now time to loot." I whisper back as we continue to loot the men and the rest of the valuables this room has so offer as I move the unconscious stormcloaks into the empty drauger crypts, folding their arms over the chests so they'll be creeped out when they wake up.

After sweeping the room, we find one more stormcloak blocking the way into Korvanjund Hall.

We take him out with a similar distraction, I draw him over and Inigo sneaks up behind to take him out.

However after taking him out, the smile on Inigo's face disappears as he starts to tense up and grumble.

"I know I was having too much fun... Ugh... There are drauger here... I'm reminded why I hate Nordic ruins my friend. Let's hurry up so we can get out of here." Inigo pouts as I started looting the urns.

"We're almost done Inigo, just a little ways to go." I assure as we make our way deeper into the tomb.

We deal with two more stormcloaks before coming up on two dead stormcloaks at the Ebony Claw puzzle door.

I take the claw before moving the rings around the door to match it's symbols of the wolf, bug, and dragon, before sliding it into place.

With that, the door recedes into the floor and we come upon a bared door in the next chamber.

We bypass it by going through another hide passage way, entering a large burial chamber that awakens six drauger.

I leap down, from the second floor of this chamber using my thunderous landing to disorient the drauger, letting Inigo loose several shots as I pull out my blade and start cutting them down, one by one. Dodging their blows and meeting others with my own. Making short work of them now that we don't have to be stealthy.

We then make our way to the final chamber, where this time I draw my bow as well. Motioning my arrow towards the drauger deathlord resting on a throne.

I then loose my arrow as Inigo releases shortly after, waking up the additional deathlord and wight guards which we also take down with swift strikes from our bows as they didn't even see what took them out as I make my way forward to claim my prize.

(Author's Note: sorry for the delay everyone! Everything has been hectic with the upcoming holiday and I had a busy day yesterday. Hope you enjoy!)
