Chapter 42: Chapter Fourty Two: Date

"Rian! Did you wait long?!"

A purple haired girl yelled out with a large smile on her face from a small distance away. Her voice caused the hazel eyed boy sitting on a bench in the shade to look up. He saw Haruna, she ran towards him with a waving hand…she seemed to emit a pink background around her with golden and white stars. She didn't wear any school clothing today. She wore a all white dress that went past her knees, she had footwear that showed her feet, and a sun cap held by a string on her back…she looked ready for a adventure.

"No, I just got here."

Rian replied while getting up as she slowed down. He came early, he wanted to say those exact words one day. He knew if he arrived even a minute late, he would lose that chance…Rian was pretty sure Haruna would arrive exactly on time. He didn't bring up seeing her in the distance, looking at her phone to come in right on time…he decided to let her have that freedom, maybe she also wanted to say "Did you wait long?!" As much as he wanted to say his "No, I just got here."

"I'm glad you didn't wait long…shall we go."

Haruna was in a great mood today, her great mood had made her more bold. She extended her hand to Rian. Rian lightly smiled before taking it. They began to walk and talk…

"Haruna, will you show me how to play Tennis?"

Rian didn't have much knowledge about tennis. Tennis wasn't as well known or as watched as football, baseball, basketball, or americian football. He only looked up a bit about it, he saw it as a long version of ping pong.

"Eh? You want to learn Tennis!"

His words made Haruna happier, she knew he didn't really like Tennis more or at the same level as her, but it still made her hopeful…maybe she could change his mind. Maybe one day, they could be a boring old couple in space talking about who is the best tennis player on earth.

"Of course…I'm doing it for you."

Rian said after pulling his nearby bike from the leaves he covered it with, there were no racks around and he didn't want to block anyone's path with his bike. He pushed the bike down from the tree and on to the side walk.

"O-Oh…I see!"

Red faced Haruna looked up rather than down, she showed him her red face proudly. They were dating, she didn't need to hide it. If anything, she should show it more to tell him to keep doing exactly what he was doing. This tatic could build one's confidence in doing maybe anything.

"Its good Haruna is getting more confident…sit right here."

Rian smiled at her open display after he dusted off any leaves or anything that could have fell on the seat. He was now patting the part of the seat he wanted Haruna to sit at. Haruna nodded before walking towards the bike and taking a seat. Rian took a seat after her, he let her get the amount of space she wanted.

The bike was a pretty grey, it didn't really matter to Haruna, as long as she could get around…she was fine.

"Lets go Haruna."

Rian used moderate speed with the bike, nothing extreme or to fast. He moved from the side walk and into the street.

"Rian…where are we going exactly?"

Haruna hugged his back while she sat sideways of the bike. She was pretty curious as to were she was going to show Rian how to play Tennis. The famous spots cost alot of money…it wasn't something a middle class adult could pay for everyday, much less a high school student.

"Ah…I don't really know. I just rented out the first one I saw."

"Rented out a spot?"

Haruna asked, she was quite worried about the amount of money he used.

"No, the whole place."

Rian had alot of money and connections to high people. He has been given insurance money from the business who were transporting goods in a trucks that hit him. He has found treasure, gold bars, jewels, and other types of loot. He has been rewarded by the police many times, the police know him by name. He has been given money by important talk show host to show up on their show. He is given royalty checks in the mail of his home. In short…he has alot of money. But even still, he didn't really use it on himself, he only used it on others and lived his life as a normal high school boy that didn't work and lived off his parents. He saved it for important things..like right now.

"The whole place! Why would you do that?"

Haruna pulled on his shirt while asking. Haruna didn't want him to develop any bad spending habits.

"I just did it…no one else took the spots."

Rian didn't realize how lucky he was, the moment he had clicked on to the website… was the moment the entire website had shut down for everyone who was waiting for the page to refresh with new spots. Everyone was kicked off while Rian was scrolling through the website. If he clicked it a fraction of a second before or later, he would have been kicked off as well. The site couldn't register if he was in or not, it only registered his purchase. The only reason he wasn't waiting like the others was because his large metal lamp had bonked him on the head.

"Sigh! Just try not to gain any habits Rian."

"I won't…Thank you for worrying me."

Haruna couldn't see his face due to him looking solely at the road, even still…she could hear his happy tone in his voice. She placed her head on his back and a smile formed on her face…

" That's what girlfriends are for Rian."

She lightly laughed to herself after saying that…
