Adeline’s POV

“Sh*t, Adeline I’m really sorry.” I laughed at Deluna’s horrified face as she surveyed my pantsuit and the dark chocolate milk stain that now adorned it. She had been only a little too eager to grab at the beverage as it came out. It ended up slipping from her hands and spilled all over me.

“No stress,” I told her as I sat back down. “It’s just a milkshake.”

Suddenly an alarm beeped from Deluna’s phone and she gasped. “I’m late!” She got up quickly. “Is it okay if I leave you like this? I’m really sorry… Do you want me to drop you off at home?”

I shook my head and waved her off, telling her to rush off to that important meeting she had been waiting for for weeks. Deluna gave me a big, wet kiss on the cheek before she rushed off.
