Chapter 28: Time Flies Like a Fruit Fly
About two weeks had passed since Hunter reincarnated into this world. After been to the library and reading some few books, he came to the conclusion that the creation of this world was like a drunkard trying to plant veggies in his backyard. And some writers of the books he read were most likely stoned. I mean what did they mean that the fucking earth is flat and if you go towards the earth, you would end up toppling to the abyss. I mean, what the fuckery fuck was that. By the way He asked Ophelia and she didn't seem bothered by that. she even said that everyone was aware of it and they were happy with it. He guessed that was why it was said that they all lived together and at the same time still far away. Though she told him that when he gets to school, he would be taught more and his curiosity would be sated since someone would be willing even if not willing ,would be forced to answer his questions. That's right, his geophysics teacher.
But until then he had to hold his questions to himself until the opportunity for a letdown arises.
Right now, he was basking under the sunlight in their garden.
He had no clue where his other siblings were as of now, though he knew for sure that Hayden wasn't around. Most likely hanging out with his buddies. He had always refused Hayden's request to come along with him and have some fun. He even stated that his buddies were itching to see his twin who looks so much like him. Quickly he joked that surely they would be surprised if they see our legs don't match. While he expected a laughter from Hayden, but Hayden waved it off and said he wasn't moving with bullies but nice dudes and babes. Highlighting the last part to catch Hunters interest.
All of this , he still refused. Though he was tempted to join , because of the babes but then he just knew that to get one would be because she's madly in love with you and anything apart from that just want a slice of what you can give. Your money, influence or name. And he for now, until he sorts himself out, that's his legs and system and also grow stronger, he's not a preacher of love. And even if girls do come his way, he knew he would mostly likely abstain because why have sex when you can't get into your favourite position, doggy.
So for now, not a preacher of love but a preacher of someone get me so damn legs. So Hayden let him be for now, but told him he would still be back. Man never gives up, he could acknowledge that, trait he once admired in one of his brother turned traitor, Marcos.
Ophelia always helped with whatever he needed, same with Amelia who always had her friends around, having tea party or sleepover or girls night. Once she even invited him to join them and the girls were chanting, egging him on to give it a go. They noticed how he was always in the library reading or training or just staring at the sun like he was doing now and felt that his mind was getting older than his body and that wasn't how young people should behave. He had never been an extrovert, even in his previous life so going out even on his own was an option he never considered. So he stayed with them just for ten minutes and he couldn't believe what these girls were doing as fun. He got bored more than he had ever been plus they were little kids.
I mean Amelia was six, Hayden; sixteen, same with him and Ophelia, twenty one.
So tea party with six year olds would definitely be amusing to you. No insult to the little kids world wide, not like he gave a fuck anyway; just kidding.

He muttered under his breathe.
Sometimes he calls for the system through thoughts, and other times audibly. Especially when he's alone.

After staring at his system for a little while and the mission that he had to complete within two months, that's waking his system up, he stood up from the ground and made his way to the library. He noticed that he had ten mission points but for now he had no idea on how to use it. Besides the fact that his system was broken, the current mission was the goal. Only his strength, Stamina and intelligence had increased, especially ths intelligence. Who said hardwork never pays off he thought to himself as he decided that he needed to read more.
In his previous life he never really read books until he retired from the life of crime and then he began to appreciate how good and important books where. At some point he even wondered that perharps if he loved reading and also listened to his mama who always said he should concentrate in school and read his books everytime she catches him coming back from the community ground all dirtied from playing ball and chasing girls, just perharps he might have become a lawyer or maybe even a doctor or a writer, who knows.
Instead of taking lives like he once was doing, he could have been saving them. 〔Yeah, even writers save lives, they create a new world, different from reality where most of us all run too. Why pick up a book when you are sad or lonely, you just want to escape the present and dive into somones own world. At the end you would even forget why and what made you sad earlier on. 〕
But they were all in the past, maybe the creator listened to his very thoughts at that moment and decided to give him another chance at life through this reincarnation. So would he now become a healer or something?
He shook his head to clear that last line of thought away. If the creator really heard his thoughts he wouldn't have reincarnated him to this world of chaos with diversity and tell him to look for the book of laws. A thing that no one seem to know, not even the books which was one of the reason if not the main, as to why he was always here reading.
In his previous life, humans had to just worry about guns, knifes, diseases and your village people. But here man, you could just be somewhere and boom your soul is been forced out of your body. And that's it you are dead.
What a scary world I live in, he thought to himself as he arrived in front of the library and pushed the door open gently.
