Chapter 10: Accident (unedited)

Another erratic Monday in June, it was. The sun was blazing one moment, and then the sky turned gloomy and black the next.

Angelina keeps her gaze fixed on the raindrops pelting the window. Even though it was almost time for her to go to work, she was here enjoying the scenery.

Such a soothing ambiance was broken by a phone ringtone.

On the other end of the line, Lucy responded, "Boss, there appears to be a problem." Angelina finished talking on the phone and hung up.

Angelina tapped her finger against the window glass and there was a faint smile on her lips. It seems like peace was never part of her life. There were always some people who really needed to understand it's not easy to mess with her.

After half an hour Angelina reached the office building and she saw that there were crowd gathered around outside the office.

"I bought this H&A brand face cream, and it ruined my face. I'm only twenty three years old, and my face already looks like this. I intend to sue Angelina Hunt for making false promises and defrauding customers." One of the young lady started accusing the H&A cosmetic product.

Angelina got down from the car to look in to the situation. After seeing Angelina there the reporters surrounded her.

"Miss Hunt, your company is accused for making such harmful product for the skin. Is it true that you were trying to cheat the consumers." The reporters started to questioning her.

Angelina frowned looking this situation and wondered why there was no security guard to stop them crowding outside her office building. She was trying to get out from there, but it seems to be difficult because those reported were leaving a way for her.

Suddenly some throw a stone that hits her head. Angelina felt a sudden pain in her head and saw that blood was trickling from her head. She started to feel dizzy and her vision turned dark.

"Boss." The last thing that she heard was her assistant's voice.

Everyone was stunned looking at the situation. They didn't expected that someone try to injured her.

"Looking at her boss in such situation. Lucy eyes turned red, "Nobody is allowed to leave this place. H&A will take a legal action to against all of you. You think that Angelina Hunt is someone whom you can accuse for wrong allegations." She said angrily.

Lucy turned to look at the girl who consider herself a victim, "Pray to god that nothing serious will happen to my boss otherwise I will make you what does it feel the life in hell."

After some time an ambulance arrived to take Angelina to the hospital.

Doctors began treating Angelina's wounds at the hospital. Lucy was worried about her boos' condition because she still had not gained consciousness.

"Doctor, how is her condition?Why she still have not woken up yet." Lucy asked worriedly.

"Fortunately the injury on her head is not that serious. The reason why she haven't reagan her consciousness because of fatigue and not taking a proper care of her body." Doctor said.

"It seems like she skips her meal and was not taking a proper sleeps which result now her body need some rest."

Lucy let out sigh of relief after hearing that her boss's condition and felt guilty that she hadn't taken good care of her boss. While she know her boss habit of skipping her meal and sleep.

"Doctor , i will take good care of you." Lucy said while looking at the sleeping figure of her boss.

"Young lady I understand that you are worried about her. But look at yourself how long have you taken a proper sleeps. The dark circle under your eyes are saying that you also haven't take good sleep for a very long time." Doctor said while looking at her face. "Sigh, young people nowadays don't care about their health."

The doctor walked out of the patient room after lecturing her. Lucy approached her boss's bed. She clenched her fist in rage when she saw the bandage wrap around her head. She really wants to smash that young girl's head into the wall for injuring her boss.

Angelina had a very special place in her heart. Lucy still remembers the first time she had met her boss. They were classmates. Her parents died in a car accident and she was living with her grandma and it was really hard for her to study in school like a normal student. She didn't have much friend in the school and most of the girls looked down on her because of her shabby appearance due to which she felt inferior.

When once teacher ask them to tell what they wanted to achieve in the future. Most of the students were came out some random things. When Angelina stand in front of the class and said, "I want to become one of the richest person in the world."

There was a few minutes of silence in the class and after some time everyone burst into laughter. Some of them started to making fun of her.

Angelina looked at them and when the words that came into her mouth make all of them silent, "You all were coward and have no courage to think something big in your life. And if someone really want to make great achievements in their life. You started to make fun of them. Because you all think the things that you can't do then there is no one who can do. You can laugh at me but I will not discouraged by your mocking smile and will achieve whatever I want in my life."

There was a pin drop silence in the class. Even the teacher was stunned after hearing her words. She had also not taken her word seriously and she felt a little shame.

At that moment Lucy felt like she was not inferior to others and that day she had found the biggest inspiration of her life.

After that day she wanted to get close to her, but she was very shy and afraid of her. Angelina started to feeling a heated gaze on her and one day she approach Lucy.

"If you have anything to say just come and say whatever in your head. You know what that gaze of your is really uncomfortable." Angelina took a pause and thought something, "Don't tell me you have a crush on me. I can understand that I have that charm and beauty that can attract any gender. But I am sorry, I am not into girls."

After hearing her words Lucy was stunned for a moment and then burst into laughter. "People were wrong about you are not only arrogant but narcissistic." She wiped the tears from the corner of her and took out her hand towards Angelina and said, "Hii, I am Lucy and I want to be friends with you. Yes, I have a crush on you but not as a lover."

Angelina looked at the girl in front and found her likable. She shook her hand and said, "It's nice to meet you."

The two of them's friendship had bloomed that day.
