Chapter 43: What is Lance Doing?

After an uneventful lunch, Chiaki was back to her personal study only to grab her tablet to read on the front porch. Sentalu house's main door faced the serpentine path on the hilly surface, so sitting at the gazebo of her lawn gave her an elevated view of the cypress trees area and the pyramid.

The chilly bite of the winter had dwindled as the afternoon's sun reached its peak, shining brightly over the South Manor. Due to not many activities in the Crystal Garden being present, Chiaki could hear the sparring shouts from both Lance Hua and Gin, the two guys practising vigorously.

Chiaki still didn't let the matter with Oriole go. After a few pages of the Path of Indifference handbook and a couple of chapters in her fiction book, she put down the tablet and pulled her holodev out, floating it in the air. She gave it a voice command to call Oriole.
