Chapter 39: Lance was not the Only Source of Gin’s Unhappiness

Gin's room is located on the upper floor, the same floor as Lance Hua's bedroom. It was technically Chiaki's master bedroom, so before Lance came, both aunt and nephew resided on the upper floor, enjoying the view of the pyramid.

"Gin," she called after knocking twice. "May Auntie come in?"

Gin replied with an indistinct grunt. Chiaki assumed it was allowed. Pushing the door ajar, she slipped inside and closed the door again.

The young man sprawled over his bed that didn't change since the last time he went to Sentalu house during a holiday. The duvet was still the sage green he loved, the accessories were still black and white as he was fond of minimalist and monochromatic aesthetics. Chiaki had the beddings laundered regularly, so when Gin arrived, there were in their prime shape.

Chiaki sat on the edge of the bed, her nose caught a whiff of the cinnamon aromatherapy that Gin once brought from his trip.
