Chapter 64: AN EMPTY VESSEL (II)

Lord Mccurdy was gone! He had escaped! I muse as I stared at the ropes on the ground.

"How the hell did this happen?" Kiran ask Ivan, his voice filled with confusion.

"How the hell am I supposed to know that? You were the one who was watching him!" Ivan retorted.

Kiran released a frustrated sigh. "Yes but he was just fucking right here! And he killed two guards, how the hell did that..."

"He didn't kill them." Ivan cut off what Kiran was about to say and I turned to face him, "He just immobilized them, I can still hear their heart beating."

Kiran ran over to where the guards were and he placed his fingers on their necks, checking for their pulse. "It's true, they are alive! But how the hell does one human know how to immobilize two full grown werewolves?"
