Chapter 38: TRYING TO BE A WARRIOR (I)

The roaring of the falls grew louder around us as I stared at the rock in horror. I couldn't climb it and even if I tried there was no way I was going to make it halfway. It was high and also kind of scary with the big waterfall and the dark cave. I'm not sure I could do this.

"Scared?" I heard Kiran ask me in a taunting manner.

"For good reason!" I threw at him, "How do you expect me to climb all the way up there? In case you forgot I am a mortal, so shouldn't we start from the basics first?" I asked an incredulous look on my face.

Kiran merely arched a brow up at my outburst. "This is the basics."

I gaped at him then turned to stare at the rocks in horror. "How...how is this the basics? You are asking me to climb a rock that's near a dark cave which could be a hydra's nest for all I know!"

"Hydra's nest? Really?" Kiran asked with a bored look on his face.
