I'm so tired.
Today was a long day and after this hectic day, I was finally feeling the birth pains. My stomach and under was numb, my vagina never felt so sore not even when Max and I you know. I can't even walk now, for some reason my back was hurting like hell. Well, this suck.
"This is your fault Max, if you ever tell me in the future that you want more babies, I'll cut your balls off." I growled at him as I tried to sit up, whining as I did that. "Don't worry baby, three is enough for me." He smiled and then muttered. "For now." I pulled a little and tossed the pillow holding my back at him. "Okay okay!" He raised his hands up in surrender mode.
"We didn't talk Max." He changed his playful face into a serious one and sat next to me on the bed. I took a deep breath and turned to look at him. "Why didn't you tell me that your family has abilities?"
"How did you find you?" He asked me in a serious tone. "No one is supposed to know about it. It stayed in my family for centuries."
"Well, when were you going to tell me?" He stayed in silence. "I can't believe you Max. Do you know what this means? My babies are going to be in danger, for this 'ability thing' my daughter is going to suffer, and I can't allow that to happen." I cracked out, my voice breaking with every word that was coming out of my mouth.
"Nothing is going to happen, because nobody knows it." Max said firmly and I shook my head repeatedly with a cry. "Well, they will and my daughter will be the one to suffer and I can't and I won't let it happen." I wiped my waterfall tears away as I sniffed.
Max pulled me toward him and rested my head on his chest, whispering soothing things into my ear. "How do you know all this?" He asked when I was more calmed and ran his fingers through my hair. "Don't tell me, I already have my suspicious." He shook his head with a short laugh.
"Your grandmother is a lovely woman." Max snorted and I hit him with my elbow. "She helped me a lot you know." I curled more into his arms as I closed my eyes, listening to his heartbeat. I stayed in silence for a moment and then said. "You should have seen it Max, it's so heart breaking. I couldn't see my daughter like that and not being able to help her."
I cried out again, turning to the side to hug Max. "It's okay. She's strong, she's going to pass through this and we're going to help her." I hugged Max tightly and buried my head in his chest.
I stood on the doorway of the nursery room as I watched Max playing with our babies. He's such a good father. They looked at him with wide eyes, their mouth curling slightly into a smile as they kicked their feet and moved their tiny hands.
I swear to you that these babies are not normal but in a good way. You could see that they were special. They can make the deadliest and scariest people in the world crack a smile. I swear. They gave a special feeling that warms your heart up, giving you funny feeling inside.
"Welcome to your crazy family." Max leaned down and kissed Maxim's forehead, then Maximilian and stopped when he reached Rebekah's crib. "You're so beautiful and I'm not just saying this because you have my eyes which are totally amazing and more tantalizing that your mom's boring blue-green eyes but I'm saying this because you have my genes wait not even because of that it's just a fact." He said cockily and I suppressed my need to snort at him. I'll let him believe that for now.
In response to all that, Rebekah made a fuzzy face and furrowed her eyebrows together, her already pink face turning red as she let out a full-blown cry. "Yep. She loves you." I laughed as I made my way inside, stepping in front of Max to get Rebekah out of her crib.
"What! Of course, she loves me, she just felt your presence, that's why she started to cry." Max teased and I rolled my eyes at him as I cocooned Rebekah in my arms. "Believe what you want Maxie." I sang teasingly as I made my way toward to rocking chair. "She may love you but I'm the one with the boobs so think about it." I sat on the rocking chair and took my strap off and unclasped my special bra (Thank you Zoë) and put Rebekah on my nipple.
"See, she was just hungry." I shook my head at his excuses and looked down at Rebekah, who was sucking on my nipple for her dear life. Max sat down next to the chair and leaned his head on the arm, extending his legs.
I ran my free hand through his already wild hair and heard him sigh in content. I smiled at that and leaned my head on the chair, thinking about how chaotic my life was and still is. I smiled and looked down at Rebekah, memories came into my mind, and I shook my head with a chuckle.
Max turned his head to look at me. "What?"
"A time in my life, I said that I would never pop babies out of my vagina and look at me now, I popped not one, not two but three. Note to myself: Think before you speak." We looked at each other before we both broke into a fit of laughter.
I woke up in the morning and got out of the bed, pulling my nightgown closer to my body as I walked out of the room. I pushed the nursery door open and walked in quietly, the babies were sleeping safe and sound. I brushed each of their hair and kissed their forehead but stopped abruptly when I saw a teddy bear in Rebekah's crib and frowned.
I picked the teddy bear and let out a pitch scream when I saw its face, letting it fall on the ground and grabbed Rebekah, pulling her toward my chest and stepped away from the bear lying on the ground. Max rushed inside of the nursery room and stood by my side in a flash, staring down at the teddy bear.
"Are you okay?" I nodded my head and cocooned Rebekah in my arms as Max kneeled to inspect the teddy bear. "What happened?" My mother asked on the doorway as she made her way inside, the rest of the family who stayed following behind her.
"That thing was in Rebekah's crib." I pointed at the teddy bear in Max hands with my free hand and shushed Rebekah who was getting restless. My mother picked up Maximilian and Zoë picked up Maxim. "Get the babies out of here." I said as I turned around to leave the room.
"Wait, let me see the bear." Jaden asked as he stepped inside of the room, walking toward Max. I still can't believe that he turned out to be Andre's mate. He's such a good guy, his only mistake was getting involved with Lucy.
Max stood up and turned around with dark eyes, his nails extending as he grabbed Jaden by his neck. "What are you doing here?! I get it that Alexandra forgave you, but I will not you understand me? If I ever find out that you're behind this, I will not hesitate to rip your head off."
I handed Rebekah to Melissa and stepped toward Max. "Let him go Max, now!" He released his hold and Jaden doubled over as he coughed furiously, grasping at his neck. "Are you okay?" I patted his back as I helped him stand straight.
He nodded his head and walked toward the teddy bear, grabbing it in his hands and inspected it. He turned the teddy bear and ripped the back, turning around slowly. "There's a bomb in it." We all gasped, and I ushered everyone out of the nursery room.
"How did you know that there was a bomb in it?" Max gritted out angrily and I growled at him in frustration, he was being childish right now. "It doesn't matter Max! What matters is who put the teddy bear in Rebekah's crib." I hissed at him and turned my attention to Jaden who was deactivating the bomb. "Do you know what you're doing?"
"Yes." He looked at me to answer and then went back to deactivating the bomb. "Because I was the one who made it." Max slammed his fist on one of the cribs and brushed his hair with his hands in frustration.
"Let me guess, Lucy is behind this." He nodded his head and I sighed tiredly, God when will I find peace? I have a feeling that this was far from over. "When will she leave us in peace?"
"Probably never." Jaden said as he finished deactivating the bomb. "Done, it's deactivated." I nodded my head at him with a thank you. "It's the least I can do." He smiled at mw and walked out of the room with the teddy bear.
I put my hands in front of my face as I broke down, my hands moving up as I tangled my fingers in my hair. "What would have happened if I didn't woke up Max? For how long I am supposed to live like this! I can't with this anymore."
"I will."
"Don't make promises you can't keep." I took my hand away and walked out of the nursery room toward the others.
It's been weeks since Max and the pack warriors have been searching for Lucy and still nothing. It was like the earth swallowed her whole. I still can't get the feeling off my chest that something bad was going to happen, even with the baby shower they made for me because they weren't able to make me one.
I tried to smile to make everyone happy, but something was off. I walked around and thanked everyone for coming, greeting, and asking around if they were having a good time. I shivered slightly when a cold feeling wrapped around me, the feeling off emptiness follow behind it.
A sharp pain ripped through my chest, and I let out a scream in agony, doubling over as I gripped the arm chair. "Max!" I felt lightheaded and was ready to sink on the ground when Max grabbed me by my waist and picked me up bridal style.
"Give her some space." Max growled out as he walked us up the stairs, getting inside of our room and put me on the bed, brushing my hair out of my face as he kneeled next to the bed. "The babies Max. Something is wrong." I exhaustively said as my throat got dry all of a sudden and my head started to spin. "My babies Max."
He shushed me and stood up. "It's okay. Stay here." He kissed my forehead and walked out of the room, closing the door behind him. I tossed the covers away and stood on my shaky legs, dragging myself to the door and opened it.
I walked inside of the nursery room and panicked when Rebekah's crib was empty. I screamed out and dragged myself toward her crib, looking frantically around me. I walked out of the nursery room and rushed down the stairs. "Where's Rebekah?" I asked loudly.
"She's upstairs with the boys sleeping. Why?" My mother asked as she stepped away from Karla and walked toward me. "She's not there."
"Well maybe one of the girls has her?" My mother opined as she ran her hands down my arms to calm me down. "Yeah, maybe I'm just being paranoid." I forced a smile and gave my mother a hug, running my hands down her back.
The girls appeared and I pulled away from my mother to walk toward them. "Is Rebekah with one of you?" They shook their heads and, in that moment, my world came crashing down and for the first time in months, I gladly let the darkness took over me.
Creation is hard, cheer me up!
