Chapter 13: Sister's Bonding
"Onee-sama…" Sona was interrupted as Serafall hugged her tightly. Normally she would have avoided it but the talk she had with Leo had made her understand things she couldn't realize before. So she just sighed as Serafall held her tightly.
"Onee-sama can we talk…" said Sona while Serafall nodded absentmindedly as she was surprised Sona didn't avoid her like always.
Getting seated on the bed the two looked at each other for a while then Sona gave Serafall a bow as she said "I-I am sorry nee-san…I always hurt your feelings and couldn't talk to you openly because of my embarrassment" she meant her words she always wanted to get closer to her big sister but her personality made it difficult for her to do that.
Serafall was once again shocked as she never thought she would have such conversation with Sona.
"N-No you don't have to apologise So-tan…ev-even I never realized my behaviour might have made you embarrassed…I am sorry for that" Serafall said as she held Sona to prevent her from bowing.
"I guess we both were somewhat at fault then" saying Sona gave a small laugh as she remembered Leo's words.
Serafall dumbfoundedly nodded as she never thought she would have such time with her dear So-tan but was happy nonetheless.
"Umm…So-tan?" Serafall wanted know what led Sona to have this talk not that she was complaining after all she always wanted to get closer to Sona.
Understanding her Sona looked at her and said "Leo..."
"Huh!?" Serafall was confused as how he was involved she was still upset at him for what he did to her during his date with Sona.
"…He…"
-[Flashback to when Leo and Sona were on their way to the dorms]-
Taking a turn Leo drove towards a small hill as the two reached atop getting down they stood at the edge of the cliff looking over the Kuoh town as the sky slowly took an orange hue.
"How is it?" Leo asked looking at Sona.
"It's beautiful" Sona said looking at the scene before her. "Indeed…though not as beautiful as your smile" Leo said cheekily making her blush.
"Say Sona why do you always avoid or be so harsh at Serafall" Leo asked.
Sona was surprised at sudden question as she looked at Leo with a complicated look she always wanted to be closer to her sister but she couldn't for some reason.
Seeing her look Leo walked up to her and flicked her forehead as Sona glared at him.
"You know it is a blessing to have a sister like her…I could see she would go to any lengths if it is to protect you even if it means to harm herself…you need to realize that Sona…you always have that strict cold persona around you and I like that but you also need to know that you should show your warm side to people who care for you just because it could be embarrassing don't avoid them like that…you may not realize it yet but tell me what would it be like if one day Serafall disappears and never returns…" Leo said as he looked at Sona.
Hearing his words Sona couldn't retort since everything he said was true even if she didn't want to accept it…it was true in the end. Though the words that affected her the most were when he said about Serafall disappearing and not returning. Just thinking about it made her heart ache as unconsciously tears flowed down her cheek.
Leo sighed as he brought her closer and wiped her tears with his thumb and hugged her calming her down.
"Listen Sona you may never know what happens in future now that Serafall is staying with you for a while try and open up to her…I don't have a family I know what it feels like to live without them and I don't want my fiancée to feel that"
Sona nodded but then blushed when he called her his fiancée. Then realization hit her as she looked at Leo who smirked at her.
"What you thought I wouldn't know about your marriage condition huh"
"You!..." saying Sona started hitting him with punches as Leo just laughed and took her to the bike as the two drove off to the dorms.
"…Thank you…" Sona mumbled she thought Leo wouldn't have heard her but he did as a small smile formed on his face.
-[Flashback ends]-
"…His words made me realize I don't want to lose you…so I thought if we could umm…open up to each other…" Sona said
"Ofcourse!" Serafall shouted as she was about to jump at her.
"Nee-san please…you don't do things like this…well I guess not in public at least" Sona said to which Serafall happily nodded as she finally had the chance to get closer to her sister there was no way she would mess it up.
"Here I brought the cake Leo and I baked" saying Sona took out the cake and gave Serafall her share as the two started having small talk albeit with some awkward moments but both the sisters had gotten much closer than they ever were.
'…Maybe he isn't as bad as I thought…maybe…' Serafall thought as she remembered talking and laughing with her So-tan as she slowly drifted to sleep.
While the sisters were bonding Leo was standing outside his mansion his face twitching looking at the group standing in front of his house who were trying to destroy the barrier the had setup around his house.
Leo snapped his fingers as the group was attacked by lightening. Only then did they notice him.
"You know its rude to try to barge in someone else's house" Leo said walking up to them.
As he got closer a beautiful girl in her mid-20s with considerably large breasts, a round rear and slender legs wearing a black dress approached him as she stared at him for a while then jumped at him as Leo wrapped his hand around her waist holding her as she hugged him while slightly sniffing his scent.
While this was happening the group which was attacked with lightening by Leo had their jaw drop as they saw the cold and aloof Dragon God hugging a guy like that. Their minds couldn't process what was happening in front of them.
A monkey like guy holding a staff looked at his group members and asked "That's Ophis right…and she is hugging a guy right…this is an illusion right!?" to which the black haired lady with cat ears and two tails wearing a loose kimono hit him on the head as he fell face flat on the ground.
"I don't think it's an illusion nyaa~" said the cat-lady tilting her head looking at Leo intensely.
Leo saw their interaction and laughed as he looked at Ophis and said "Now-now I know it's been a while but can you let go" to which she didn't reply as her hold got tighter. Sighing he let her be as he walked up to his house with Ophis clinging to him as he held her.
"How about we talk inside?" Leo asked as he opened the door while the group nodded and followed behind him.
