Chapter 71: Who Is The Chameleon?

The nighttime, for Rowan, was many things. 

It was the time to feed, time to plunge into the dreams of different breeds and fulfil their deepest sexual desires. It was the time for the part of himself he hated the most to keep him alive. 

But sometimes, just like tonight, the nightime reminded him why he hated his Incubus so much. 

Times like tonight, he wouldn't be the one going into other breeds' dreams but his nightmares would be the one visiting his. 

Sweat pooled from every pore, his father's voice filling his head. He could hear the whip, hear his own screams following after it. 

It felt like he was in that dungeon all over again, with his father, the breed he shared an image with and hated the most with every fiber of his being. 

There was a pounding at the door and, it blended into the horrors of his nightmare. 

Till the pounding grew louder and more than just the horrific images in his mind. 

"Rowan? Rowan!"
