Chapter 65: The Past Pops Up

Rowan hummed in response.

If his responses were short, maybe that would discourage the Halfbreed from asking more questions.

It didn't.

"Is it true that you look a lot like your Father? I wasn't able to catch a good look during the Auction Night, I think the King Lowakir was there," there was a hint of a smile at the corners of the Halfbreed's lips. 

His curiosity shone through his eyes and his happiness that they were having an actual conversation was something he couldn't hold back. 

"Yes. I am not part of his first set of sons or even his second or third, which means I shouldn't be as well known as I am, but many say I am the spitting image of him and for that, I am well known."

Spitting image. 

That left a bitter taste in his mouth. 

"How does it feel to look like him?" Kyros sat next to him, trying to roll his Master's sleeve up, so he could take care of the cuts on his arms.
