Chapter 4: NARUTO!?
Koutaro along with Hitomi and Kaya were standing before the merchant's horse cart. The merchant was checking through the harvest they brought.
"Kawamura -san, we brought a lot of grains this time, l expect you to give us a good bargain." said hitomi while looking at the merchant Kawamura.
Kawamura glanced at them and smiled
"Yeah, hitomi I have to say this year you have a great harvest and the quality of the harvest is good too. lt is only fair to give you a good bargain."
Hitomi smiled softly and pointed at koutaro "Koutaro -kun was of great help, he worked very hard in the field. Without him it would be impossible for us to pull this through."
"That's right! That's right! Koutaro -nii is very hardworking, he helps kaya and mama everytime." kaya chimed from the side excitedly, and hugged Koutaro.
Hitomi chuckled at the development, while Koutaro being helpless just let her be. Although he was feeling good inside having the affection of this little sister of his. It is to say, Koutaro grew to like this little girl a lot. And is ready to protect her like a real big brother.
Kawamura looked towards koutaro "Ah! Its you young lad, it's been a longtime I last saw you."
"You know me oji -san?'' Koutaro asked, raising an eyebrow. Because he doesn't recall meeting this person in the original owner's memory.
Kawamura chuckled "Yeah, your father was a good acquaintance of min-'' he stopped at the end of the sentence.
" haaa..." he then sighed "l heard what happened to your parents. l am sorry for your loss" he continued looking quite sad and apologetic.
'oh!' Koutaro doesn't really feel anything about the death of the original owner's parents.
Though he inherited the memories of the body, the same could not be said for the emotions.
Honestly he thinks it was for the best, he didn't like being affected by a third person's feelings.
"I had seen you when you were two, so I guess you don't remember me.
Though you have grown a little older, you still look the same, it is not hard to recognise you". *ha ha ha ha * Kawamura laughed lightly.
After that hitomi and kawamura begin to discuss the rate and stuff. After they were finished with that, koutaro asked "ano! oji -san, can l ask you about something?"
kawamura looked at koutaro and questioned
"hmm? What is it boy? what do you want know"
"ah! you want to ask about outside the village right? ha ha, well you have been asking every other villager about the same." hitomi said while chuckling.
Koutaro just scratched the back of his head not knowing what to say.
"oh!" kawamura noted with interest. " ok, go on, what do you want to ask?"
"Alright then koutaro -kun, we will head out first. You may come back after finishing your little talk." hitomi said and looked at kaya
"Let's go Kaya."
Hitomi and kaya went away leaving Koutaro alone with kawamura.
"Well i am finished with the business today, so l guess l can spare some time with you. What do you want to know?" kawamura said while taking a seat at the back of the horse cart, making himself comfortable.
"oji -san do you know about the outside world, like where our village is or which country are we part of?" Koutaro asked, trying to sound a little innocent. Whatever it may be he was still a 6 year old, it will be too strange for him to talk like an adult.
Hearing this, Kawamura starts thinking "hmmm.... well for the region this village is in the outskirts of 'Jagaimó' county. And our nation is in the 'land of rice fields'."
'wha-? land of rice fields?? NO. let me understand first.'
"ano! oji -san, Land of rice fields?" Koutaro asked.
*ha ha* "l guess you don't know, our country is in the land of rice fields, ruled by the rice daimyo. It neighbours the great nation of land of fire" *ha ha ha * kawamura said laughing.
'WAIT!!! WHATT!??....LAND OF FIRE??"
koutaro's mouth hung slightly by the influx of this information.
Kawamura saw this and chuckled " Yeah, .....Its land of fire, where Konaha is located, the strongest shinobi village."
' Land of fire....Konoha.....Shinobi.... Don't tell me it's the NARUTO WORLD!!!'
( A/N So I am planning to get it to at least 150 chapters. So it may be a bit slow paced. Please bear with it. cheers.)
