Chapter 277: Chapter 275. Agent of SHILED (Part1)

"This should be the place."

Agent Phil Coulson took off his sunglasses and looked at the strange scene in the middle of the Central Park, his expression serious.

He hadn't actually died, as Fury used Project TAHITI to resurrect him and modified his memory, making him forget that he had died once and reinstating him as the team leader the S.H.I.E.L.D. special operative unit, Coulson had organized a group of highly skilled agents to carry out various investigative tasks for SHILED.

"Since early morning, a large number of people have been gathering at the target location, including two police officers who received the call. According to Skye's investigation, I think this situation is highly problematic."

Agent Melinda May looked at the eerie scene in front of her and spoke calmly.

"Is this the work of the Rising Tide?"

Coulson subconsciously furrowed his brows.

The Rising Tide was one of the opponents of Coulson's special team, a group of people who aimed to reveal everything about SHILED. Notably, Skye, a member of the team, had previously been a member of the Rising Tide.

"I don't think so."

Based on their previous actions, Agent May judged that what was happening in front of them was not closely related to the Rising Tide.

"We can't take this lightly."

An agent's alertness made Coulson apprehensive. He looked at the large crowd gathered in the park, and after a moment of silence, he took out his new weapon and nodded to Agent May next to him. The weapon was a newly developed by SHILED, combining the technology of Quinjet's weapons and making it even more powerful.

With the new weapon in hand, Coulson's nerves calmed down. He and Agent May walked carefully into the crowd.

"Nothing out of the ordinary?"

Contrary to their expectations, there was no crisis in the park. However, this result made the two agents even more vigilant.

Silently exchanging glances, Coulson and May turned their gaze and noticed a chair that seemed to have been placed on the side of the road.

"What is this?"

Looking at the chair that appeared in front of them, Coulson was the first to feel a trace of doubt in his mind. Then, he became dizzy and confused, his previously alert expression giving way to a dazed look. He gradually began to resemble the people around him.

"Coulson! Coulson!"

As he kept looking at the chair, Agent Coulson was about to become one of the many gathered here, but luckily, he had the steadfast Agent May by his side.

As soon as Agent May noticed that the chair was out of the ordinary, she relied on her strong willpower to look away from it.

"Ah~"

Like waking up from a dream, Agent Coulson snapped out of his momentary daze at Agent May's call. Although it was only a few seconds of absent-mindedness, Agent Coulson's forehead was already covered in sweat. He took a few deep breaths before scanning the crowd around him, still feeling shaken.

"What's going on, Coulson?"

Although she had escaped the situation, Agent May was full of doubts, "What's up with that chair? Why does it pull anyone looking at it into a daze?"

Taking deep breaths to calm his frazzled emotions, the scene just now reminded him of a mysterious organization that the former SHIELD Director, Nick Fury, had told him about, not long ago -- the SCP Foundation.

According to Fury, the goal of this foundation was to contain some anomalous items, individuals, and phenomena.

And the strange scene created by the chair in front of him seemed to be very much in line with the description of the anomalies in that so-called 'foundation.'

"Seems like the situation is even more complicated than we imagined."

Although the current situation had nothing to do with the Rising Tide organization, it involved the SCP Foundation, a mysterious organization that SHIELD had only recently learned about.

If his assessment was accurate, then the situation they would face next would be so much more complicated.

"Coulson, you should be thinking about how to solve the situation in front of us instead of worrying about that," Agent May reminded him, who was lost in thought.

"Even if you ask me, we don't have many options right now. The situation in front of us is clearly..."

Before he could finish his sentence, the sound of a commotion came from a nearby area of the park.

Buzz, buzz, buzz...

"Unlucky, unlucky, unlucky!"

With his catchphrase ringing out, the clone dodged the relentless pursuit of the [Invincible Venomous Wasp] and headed towards Coulson and May's location.

The clone had a look of fear on his face.

He was indeed unlucky. As a D-level character card, [Uncle Dragon]'s abilities weren't very strong, but the main body had been designed with a very fitting entrance for his character's identity.

Turning his head to look at the [Invincible Venomous Wasps] pursuing him, even though he didn't actually feel pain as a clone, being stung by a large group of poisonous wasps was still a terrifying experience. Therefore, he naturally needed to put on this act.

"Someone being chased by wasps?"

Looking at the clone being chased by the [Invincible Venomous Wasps], Agent May's expression was first surprised, but then Coulson reminded her, "They aren't ordinary wasps."

Indeed, as a deadly weapon in 'The Eagle Shooting Heroes', the [Invincible Poisonous Wasps] weren't simple. Even the likes of Western Venom Ouyang Feng, had a hard time avoiding their terrifying attacks.

"Do you need help?"

Hearing Coulson's remark, Agent May quickly asked the clone, who was constantly dodging the incoming wasps, if he needed her weapon.

"Wait a moment."

The situation was uncertain at the moment, and it wasn't clear whether the sudden arrival of this guy was due to panic or intentional.

"..."

However, under the vigilance of two agents, the rushing figure passed them by as if he was really in a panic.

[Reputa ...]

"Looks like we were..."

After a moment of silence, Agent Coulson was about to say something when suddenly, the figure, who had previously ran far away, suddenly turned a corner and ran back towards their location.

"I almost went the wrong way!"

Muttering to himself, the figure quickly ran back to where Agent Coulson and Agent May were, and before they could react, the figure ran towards the direction of the strange chair under their astounded gaze.
