Chapter 147: Chapter 144. Clone Upgrade (Part1)
Inside the antique shop, Ryan looked at the synthesised B-level cards in front of him.
It was hard to hide the grin on his lips.
Although [Tien Shinhan]'s visibility was infinitely diminished in the later stages of 'Dragon Ball' due to the soaring battle capabilities in the show, this didn't affect Ryan's joyous feelings at the moment.
Ryan replaced his current card with [Tien Shinhan] because the first thing he had to do was to test the flight capability. The Sky Dance Technique, a unique move from the [Crane Style], even though it became a lame ability in the later stages of 'Dragon Ball', couldn't erase its extraordinary significance. After all, flight had always been mankind's dream.
As Ryan hovered around the antique store, he looked awkwardly at the fallen shelves.
The space inside the antique shop was too small, and he wasn't proficient with the Sky Dance Technique he was using right now. Some bumps and bruises were inevitable.
After shaking his head and putting away his Sky Dance Technique, Ryan then focused on [Tien Shinhan]'s other skill, [Self-Created Martial Arts].
Aside from his conspicuous third eye, the most impressive thing about Tien Shinhan was his variety of moves. In the early days of 'Dragon Ball', [Tien Shinhan]'s dazzling martial arts moves were one of the highlights of the manga.
Remembering [ Tien Shinhan]'s various moves, Ryan then found a move that he was interested in.
"Multi-Form Technique!"
With a light shout, Ryan's body appeared to blur. Then four figures, identical to him, appeared in the antique shop.
Turning his head from side to side, he looked at 'himself'. Although they were also clones, Ryan could clearly feel that the 'Multi-Form' performed by [Tien Shinhan] and [Mizuki]'s clone technique were two completely different types of clones. The former divides one's power into four, becoming a quarter of what it was before using the technique.

One quarter of [Tien Shinhan]'s power was combined with [Sanwa]'s [Invulnerability]. Ryan could clearly feel that the clone was even more powerful now.
With one swing of its fist, without even exerting too much force, it easily created a gust of wind in the antique shop.
However, his appearance was a problem.
Looking at the doppelganger that looked exactly like himself in front of him, Ryan then glanced down at the [Mizuki] card again. To be honest, with [Tien Shinhan]'s new clone abilities, Ryan was less and less impressed with Mizuki's basic clone ability, which didn't do much.
He would like to be able to use as many clones as he could with two cards; however, it was obvious that the 'Multi-Form' clones weren't compatible with the chakra clones. He tried to create a chakra clone from the 'Multi-Form' clone, but the intense headache he felt instantly made Ryan realise that maintaining four 'Multi-Form' clones was his current limit.
Shaking his head, Ryan regretfully replaced the [Mizuki] card that had been in his card slot for some time now. Ryan thought for a moment, then replaced it with [Bentham], which he hadn't used since he got it. Then, he used the [Clone-Clone Fruit]. He saw that the clone that had merged with the [Sanwa] card touched its own face and transformed into Lord Godless's appearance.
Sure enough, in the system ruling, the clones were a part of himself.
Looking at the tall figure in front of him, Ryan gently nodded. Since he was able to use the [Clone-Clone Fruit], Ryan had fewer possibilities of being exposed in the future. After all, the appearance created by [Clone-Clone Fruit] wasn't an illusion created with chakra like the previous transformation techniques or make-up, but a genuine face-changing technique.
Ryan looked down again at the [Mizuki] card in the system. After looking at the two remaining clones, he hesitated for a moment and then suddenly, out of nowhere, he aimed [Mizuki] at one of them. With his thought, the character card in the system started to flicker with a faint glow. After a few seconds of flickering, it then turned into a white light and entered the body of the clone in front of him.
After moving his arms and legs and feeling the chakra surging through his body, the clone nodded gently and without hesitation activated the transforming ability from the [Three Body Techniques].
Then, a 'bang' was heard. After the white mist passed, a clone formed by chakra reappeared beside the doppelganger.
'Then, the most important part!'
Looking at the motionless chakra clone in front of him, Ryan subconsciously held his breath and focused on the C-level card [Hong Qi] that he had just got. He gave some instructions to the clone. In the next instant, the character card turned into a white flash of light and merged into the chakra clone.
'Did it work?'
Looking at the clone that had merged with the card, Ryan's mind had barely had time to register the thought when he heard a 'bang!'. The chakra clone in front of him involuntarily disappeared into a puff of white smoke.
'Failure. I took it for granted...'
Ryan's disappointment was hard to hide as he watched the clone disappear and the character card return to the system.
He originally wanted to increase the number of clones by turning a clone into Mizuki and then using chakra clones in disguise.
But apparently, the idea failed. The chakra clones produced by the 'Multi-Form' clones were unable to maintain the power from the system's cards.
