MUP: Chapter 131. Against the Green Goblin.
On the roof.
Under the mask, Peter's expression was a bit heavy. The news Eddie revealed was a bit too shocking; he needed time to digest it.
Suppressing the shock in his mind, the little spider looked at Eddie and spoke with concern, "So, what do you plan to do next?"
Eddie was so unlucky, he had a mid-life crisis some time ago, and then he was dragged into an experiment by a mysterious organisation.
Spidey imagined being in Eddie's shoes and felt sorry for him.
Eddie shook his head. In the young spider's eyes, he looked very confused, "I don't know. I was going to see my ex-girlfriend, but I'm afraid venom would come out and hurt her ..."
Thinking of the scene where he was almost swallowed by Venom before, the young spider agreed with Eddie's decision, "Mr Brock, maybe you could talk to the... that... Venom, in your body, and get an understanding of the situation."

When the two saw him, Green Goblin laughed and raised his arm. In the next moment, flames emerged from a weapon protruding from his armour, spraying toward the two.
"Mr Brock, look out!"
Facing the blazing flames coming at them, Peter wanted to lunge over and protect Eddie, but he stopped in his tracks.
He saw a mass of black symbiote emerge from within Eddie's body.
In the blink of an eye, Eddie disappeared and was replaced by the bizarre and terrifying symbiote, Venom.
It jumped, avoiding the flames from the Green Goblin's armour.
In mid-air, Venom looked at Green Goblin, standing on top of his glider. Its mouth cracked open, and it pointed its sharp fingers at him.
In the next moment, Venom's fingers were transformed into sharp spikes and stabbed at the Green Goblin.
Green Goblin amour's impressive defence blocked Venom's attack. However, before Norman could breathe a sigh of relief, he saw the sharp spike on his chest armour turn into liquid and wrap around his body. Then, the force from Venom's arm threw Norman off his glider and smashed him through the roof's hard surface.
Bang --

Looking at the big hole on the roof, the little spider gasped. Just by looking at it, he knew how painful it would be.
The force of that blow wasn't light.
However, before Spidey could take some time to observe a moment of silence for the Green Goblin, he saw Venom withdraw his grip and turn to look at him.
"Gulp ~"
When he met Venom's pale eyes, Spidey subconsciously gulped. His mind recalled the scene of their first meeting once again. He awkwardly smiled and said, "Hey, it's me, Mr Brock, you remember me ... right?"
Grinning and wiggling his long tongue out of his mouth, Venom replied in his hoarse voice, "Of course, I remember you. The runaway meal. Is this what Eddie calls .... food delivery?"
"I'm sorry, I don't think this is exactly what that means..."
Quickly shaking his head, Spidey replied to Venom's question anxiously.
All joking aside, he had only just started high school and hadn't even gotten a girlfriend yet. He didn't want to leave this world that early and in such a horrible way.
"That's not up to you."
Ignoring Spider-Man's answer, Venom twisted his head and tried to dash toward Peter.
However, the next moment, a loud noise was heard from the depths of the large hole in the roof. Shortly after, a battered Green Goblin was seen leaping out of the hole. The impact caused multiple damages to Norman's Green Goblin armour. One of the yellow eyes on his terrifying mask was shattered.
Glaring at Venom through the only intact eye on his helmet, the Green Goblin shouted in anger, "When I catch you, I'll make you beg for death!" As the prideful chairman of Oscorp, Norman had never been in such a predicament.
"Then I'll eat you up first!"
Venom didn't care about Norman's threats. It simply made its stance clear by its actions.
Looking at Venom's large figure lunge at him, a smile of triumph appeared on Norman's lips. In the next second, Norman pressed a button on his armour, then flames spewed out from the mouth of his helmet.
"Roar --"
As Norman had previously speculated, flame was Venom's weakness.
The symbiote screamed in agony as the fiery flames erupted from the goblin mask. In the next moment, it scattered from Eddie's body as if it was in distress.
'It seems that the fear of fire was already a weakness engrained in Venom's instincts.'
In the antique shop, Ryan noticed this scene and noted it down in his mind.
The Venom symbiote's fear of fire was clearly a side effect similar to the previous [Baby]'s tinnitus, and there was no way to avoid it.
"Mr Brock, look out!"
Seeing that Eddie Brock was in danger due to Venom's absence, the young spider bent his wrist and shot some spider web toward Eddie's chest. Then, he pulled him closer and saved him from the flames in the nick of time.
Eddie survived with Spider-Man's help.
However, before the little spider could breathe a sigh of relief, he saw the dispersing symbiote re-envelop Eddie as if it had sensed something.
