"Are you Magenta Savili? I'm Rion Stevano, who will be your boss," the man asked holding out his hand.
"Right, she's Magenta Savili. I'm Dean Savili, his mother," my mother replied back to Rion's handshake with sparkling eyes.
The man looked my mother up and down and then shook my mother's hand. He just smiled and then looked back at me.
"Right, I'm Magenta Savili," I said with a smile. I grimaced cursing myself because my eyes had focused on his lips which for some reason were very sexy in my eyes.
"Leave the two of us alone,"
My face immediately changed, I groped trying to grab my mother's hand. My mother's face also changed, she looked at Alex because since then Rion had not turned his back on me at all.
"Come with me, I'll explain about the outside payment," Alex said as if he understood Rion's point. I held my mother's hand while shaking my head to prevent her from leaving me with Rion. For some reason Rion's gaze at me scared me, he seemed to be staring at the prey he had been eyeing for a long time.
"I'll pick you up later," Mom let go of my hand. "Don't make trouble," my mother whispered just before she left.
I finally could only fall silent when I saw my mother and Alex coming out of the room. I saw Rion walking and pressing the button, I heard the door lock automatically.
"Relax, we will discuss your work," said Rion, he walked towards the chair in the middle of the room and sat down.
"Ah, I forgot you were blind. Can't you sit alone? I heard you can do anything," he asked sarcastically.
I chuckled at that, he changed in an instant. It turned out that he was nothing more than a rich man who liked to belittle other people. I didn't answer and pretended to be groping and walked slowly until I sat down on the chair.
"Looks like you're not as great as people say," Rion said again.
"What do you expect from me? Can I make your company successful? I'm not a shaman, it seems you were wrong to ask me to be your employee," I replied no less sarcastically.
I was alert when Rion suddenly stood up and walked behind me. I really wanted to turn around and see what he was doing but I had to be able to endure it for the sake of my charade. "What are you doing now?" I asked frantically.
Silence, absolutely no sound. I finally turned around slowly out of curiosity as to what he was doing. Buuugh! A punch almost hit my face if I didn't close my eyes and dodge the attack.
"Not bad," he replied with a smile.
He launched his attack again. Blow after blow he did while continuing to corner me against the wall. I can easily parry all his attacks and counter his attacks. I ducked and spun around and kicked his head but Rion looked down and grabbed my leg until I fell.
I could see his face was eager to attack me. I remember all the martial arts moves I've ever seen, my body slowly moving on its own. I launched an attack so quickly that it overwhelmed Rion a bit.
Buuugh! My elbow hit his chin. Buuugh! I hit him in the stomach. I saw him take a step back while laughing. Plaque! I turned around and kicked him in the face unconsciously until Rion fell.
I opened my eyes and immediately panicked when I saw his face was bleeding from being hit by my kick. "Are you okay?" I asked as I approached him. I quickly fumbled around and pretended to be confused as to where he was.
I saw him standing while wiping the blood off his face. The expression on his face didn't show any pain, instead, his face showed that he was satisfied.
"Amazing," said Rion looking at me in amazement. I breathed a sigh of relief that he didn't notice that I was running toward him earlier.
"You can work tomorrow," said Rion as he put his coat back on, he walked over and sat back down on the chair.
"You are okay? The sound of my kicks is very loud," I asked again, I groped and tried to find where Rion was.
"It turns out that you are as great as people say. No one has beaten me before," said Rion again, he still looked at me in amazement and didn't answer my question at all.
"You didn't answer my question," I raised my voice and glared at him.
"You're even looking at me intently, can you tell me where I am?" he asked again, increasingly amazed at me.
I rolled my eyes annoyed and chose to sit on the chair, I was tired of acting. I'm sure it's okay to show a little if I can see in front of him, he must think it's just my strength.
"What should I do?" I asked him. Since then I didn't know what work I should do, suddenly he attacked me like I was the enemy.
"You just sit in front of my room and prevent my father from entering,"
"Hah?"
That's the only word that can come out of my mouth. Prevent his father from entering? What job is that? "Are you kidding me?"
"No, from the beginning my intention was to recruit you just for the job," he who was originally leaning back straightened his body.
"At that much cost?" I asked again in disbelief, this was too ridiculous for me.
"Right," he replied, nodding lightly.
My mouth gaped without me knowing it, is the man in front of me crazy? I looked at Rion closely, anyone would think he is a perfect man, with a handsome face, well-built body, and seductive voice and he is the CEO of a big company, but I'm sure the image of a perfect man will be lost when they hear Rion's request for me.
"Why should I prevent your father from entering and why should I? If your father is a criminal, you should recruit someone experienced in the military or martial arts."
"That's why I chose you, you have the power, right? I can get what you mentioned earlier for a cheap price."
"Just so you know, the pay I offer is far below if I have to recruit them,"
I immediately laughed at his answer, so that's why he recruited me? Because I'm stupid?
"You can't cancel it, ah no, you can cancel it if you want to pay five times. I'm sure you've read that in the contract," he said casually, he drank the coffee in front of him while closing his eyes enjoying the taste of the coffee.
I glared at him when he said that. He was really cunning, it was only natural that he could become a CEO at such a young age.
"You idiot mother," I said to myself. She would definitely throw a tantrum if she found out she was tricked by Rion.
"Do you have clothes for work? Otherwise, I'll send clothes for you," he said.
"I am ha.."
"Ah no, let me send clothes for you. I don't accept rejection, just take it as my apology," he cut me off again.
I look at him sarcastically, I can't believe if he buys me clothes because he wants to feel bad for me, he must just want to show off if he's rich.
"You always look at me like you know where I am, so I'm not sure if you're blind," he stands up and brings his face close to mine.
I held the sofa where I was sitting because his face was too close to mine. I tried my best so he wouldn't suspect that I could actually see. His black eyes stared at me deeply as if hypnotizing me, the roar of his breath against my face made my chest thump. I swallowed my saliva when I saw her red lips which were still wet from the coffee she had drunk. I turned my face as he leaned forward and almost hit my nose.
"See, you can tell if I bring my face closer," he said looking at me suspiciously, he brought his face closer to mine again.
"Your breath touches my face, what do you think I am stupid? Why do you think I'm called a special girl?" I answered sarcastically. I had to control my own chest which couldn't stop beating so fast. How impudent he was to arbitrarily bring his handsome face close and it made me angry.
"Your face is red," he said as he continued to stare at my face.
"Don't look at my face like that," I turned and straightened my chair. I cursed myself for blushing for no reason.
"Oh okay," he chuckled. He sat back down in the chair but somehow he seemed very happy to tease me.
"Alex will drive you home," he said.
He pressed the phone and spoke to Alex there. Immediately Alex knocked on the door and entered the room. Alex took my hand and led me outside to go home. The whole trip with Alex there was absolutely no conversation between the two of us. We finally reached the first floor, many eyes were staring at us the same as before. This time more employees whisper, and I'm sure more people will recognize me for being the subject of their gossip.
"Mom isn't that Magenta? The older sister who played the piano at the orphanage the other day," shouted a little girl. She ran to me with a happy face.
"Don't run, Angel!" shouted a woman following the little girl.
"That's right, she's the older sister! Can you play the piano again? I really like watching you play the piano," the little girl said as she pulled the skirt I was wearing.
"I'm sorry. Angel, you can't be like this," said her mother as she pulled her daughter's hand from my skirt. She lowered her head and apologized to me.
"Oh that's okay," I said with a smile. I fumbled for the girl. The girl's hand grabbed mine. I touched her head and stroked her. I align myself with her.
"You want to see me play the piano?"
"Yes," replied the little girl excitedly.
"But unfortunately there is no piano here, so I can't play the piano,"
The little girl's face turned sad at my words. Her mother came over and patted her daughter's shoulder.
"But we have a violin here. You can play the violin if you want," said Alex suddenly.
"You want to see me play the violin?" I asked the little girl again.
"Of course," the little girl's face immediately brightened.
I smiled at that and stood up. Alex led me to the center of the room and told me to wait for the clerk to take the violin for a while. The employees and the people who were there started to crowd because they wanted to see my appearance. People from upstairs started to arrive, it seemed like the news was spreading fast.
"Why do companies have violins?"
"In the company, there is room for rest or just to get rid of boredom, lots of musical instruments and toys. Mr. Rion's father made a room so that employees feel comfortable in the office," said Alex who welcomed the violin brought by his employees. He handed the violin to me. He helped me to put the violin in my arms.
Alex went aside when I was ready to perform. I smiled at the crowd. I saw the little girl at the very front. I looked at her and smiled. The atmosphere became silent as I raised my right hand. I started saying my signature line.
"Close your eyes,"
