Chapter 25: Arrest
Sebastian was take abac by the confidence of Maxwell.
"You…" Sebastian couldn't find the words anymore to say as they got stuck in his throat, making him to mumble some unheard sounds as he vibrated with anger as though he was going to explode at any moment.
"I'm not here alone. So you may as well find a lawyer to clear your name if you want to still marry her but for now, your guests are waiting for you." Maxwell announced.
Sebastian looked around to see who Maxwell was talking about but didn't see anyone. He sighed, as though Maxwell was just tricking him. Just then, the cops matched in. They took away the dead bodies of the men as everyone watched them.
"Arrest that idiot too! He is a murderer!" Sebastian screamed at the cops.
Two men in uniform walked up to Sebastian as they took out his hands.
"What are you doing? You've got the wrong person! He is the one to be arrested and not me!" Sebastian yelled at them.
"You are arrested for attempted rape." A cop said to him.
"What? That's not true. Don't tell me you believed that dummy!" Sebastian tried to defend himself.
"How about you watching this video and then we will know who is to be arrested here." Maxwell said.
"Officers, one minute." Maxwell said to them as they let him go but stood near him on the altar. Eric, from the backstage played a video for everyone using a screenplayer. It was a video that was made when Sebastian tried to rape Ava.
The entire crowd shouted in disbelief. Sebastian was soaked in shame as he bent his head. He couldn't believe it.
"You are such a bastard! How could you attempt to rape my sister?" Julie yelled at him in tears. The video was a complete one, showing how Ava met with Maxwell.
"What? She is going to be my wife anyways! This doesn't prove anything!" Sebastian tired to fight back.
"Sure you will try to defend yourself. How about this?" Maxwell said again as another blank video played. It was more of a recording.
"You bastard! My sister is marrying you because you threatened her! I'm very sure she doesn't want this marriage but keeps lying to everyone that she has no problem with it. If anything happens to her, I'll make sure you pay for it dearly." A lady's voice came through.
"Hahahahaha….are you threatening me? Well then tell your lovely sister to save herself now and run away. Let's see how far she can go and how fast she can run." A male voice replied.
"I've warned you." The kady replied back.
"I won't punish you but your sister will pay for this! So watch your tongue and mind what you say to me. Reduce the punishment that she will get from me by saving your tongue! You think I love that bitch? I'm marrying her to silence your dirty family! Just watch how she'll get punished tonight. She will beg for mercy and even for death but won't be fortunate to see any.oh wait a minute, it's our honeymoon…a private time with her. Haha…it won't be bad to have you tied up as you watch how I rape her and punish her tonight. Get ready for it! Now move!" The male replied with a husky voice.
Everyone gasped as they heard the conversation. They couldn't believe it.
"How dare you! I thought you are a good man but you are this evil!" An old lady stood up and lamented.
"What proof do you have that it's my voice? Stop all these nonsense and leave here!" Sebastian yelled.
"Shut your mouth up! Officers take him away! This child don't deserve such a man like you! Your place is in the cells, that's where you belong you animal!" Another lady said as she got up, pointing fingers angrily at Sebastian. One by one, the whole crowd was against him.
"You are under arrest sir, please cooperate with us otherwise, we'll have to use force on you." A cop said to Sebastian. He broke int a run immediately through the crowd. The cops ran after him.
"Stop or I'll shoot!" A cop said to him but he was on the run. As a cop was running, Maxwell grabbed his gun and shot Sebastian in the leg through the back without looking. Sebastian fell to the ground and was handcuffed.
The cop looked at him up and down as he collected his gun.
"You are welcome." Maxwell said to him as they whisked Sebastian through the door.
"This is not over! I'll be back for you I swear! I'll kill Ava! I'll destroy you!" Sebastian threatened.
"Wait!" Maxwell screamed as he turned. He walked up to the door where they were.
"Leave this family alone, do you hear me?" Maxwell said to Sebastian.
"Bastard!" Sebastian cursed.
Maxwell targeted his mouth and gave him a resounding slap on it which sent saliva flying in the air.
"What did I say?" Maxwell asked again.
"This isn't over! You'll have me to contend with." Sebastian threatened again, followed by another slap from Maxwell.
"What did I say?" Maxwell repeated his question again.
"I will…" He replied as he turned his face away.
"Take him away." Maxwell said as the cops whisked Sebastian away.
The whole crowd who was staring at what was happening at the door started clapping for Maxwell. Ava's face lit up with a smile as tears streamed down her face.
Maxwell turned to go when Ava stopped him.
"Wait!" She said. He stopped in his tracks, then turned slowly.
