Hisaki laughed softly as she heard Heisuke sighing about the same thing again. She looked at her old man whose expression was a bit dull.

Leaving the side table where she put a new jug of water, Hisaki moved closer to the bed where Heisuke was. Sitting on the edge of the bed, she put both palms on his cheeks, gently cupping his face.

"The doctor will decide that tomorrow," said Hisaki, her voice imbued with tenderness as she locked her eyes onto Heisuke's, "I'm just glad that you're recovering well."

Heisuke smiled sheepishly. He put both arms around Hisaki's waist, pulling her closer to him.

"I've been whining nonstop," Heisuke sighed, thinking of how impatient he could be, "Really not cool, huh?"

"Hehe, you're cute, darling~"

"How can I be cute? I gained another scar," Heisuke pointed to his head.
