The man adjusted his cloak, his tone once again calm and collected.

"Good. Now that you understand, we can continue. Gu Jin will die, but not because of your impulsive decisions. If you want her gone, you'll follow my plan exactly as I say."

Gu Aihan stayed on the floor, rubbing her neck, her body trembling.

She had never felt so powerless, but she knew that fighting him now would only lead to her death.

"What's your plan?" she asked hoarsely, trying to regain her composure.

The black-cloaked man looked down at her, satisfied with her submission

"For now, let's not kill her."

"No!" Gu Aihan instantly opposed. "We will kill her!"

If they didn't kill her, she would not feel at ease.

For the past few days, she kept on getting nightmares that Gu Jin would uncover the truth and tell the Gu family that she(Gu Aihan) wasn't their biological daughter.
