Chapter 144: Weird

After a long kiss, Asher finally let go of the duke and decided that it was enough for the day. They were more tired than how it would have been to be busy working, as the emotional toll was way heavier than anything else. Asher hoped this really ended very soon. 

After some more time resting, they had dinner together and as usual, went to sleep together. But that day it was quieter than before since both of them fell asleep as soon as their heads hit the pillow unlike other days where they would be talking or doing something till one of them fell asleep. It was very silent that day. So tense…

The stress had completely drained their energy and positive spirit…

'I don't know if I am ready for the moment where things could get worse.'
