Asher, listening to Anne talking, just kept his head down.

'Did Miss Anne hear us talking that day?'

Asher thought it can not be just a coincidence since Anne asked exactly what Nala said at that time. She must have heard everything they said. Or else…there was no way she would know Nala would think of him as a low life and not deserved to be respected.

So, this meant, Anne must have heard him calling Nala a 'bitch' too right?

She must have heard him angrily threatening her too right?

Asher was suddenly scared. 

He behaved in such a bad way which of course wouldn't leave a good impression on anyone. 

Did Miss Anne hear all of it?

Does she doubt him now?

He wouldn't blame her if she were to think he was not as kind as he was shown outside...

He didn't really do it on purpose. He just lost his temper easily that day and ended up threatening Nala, using quite a harsh tone on her at that.
