Chapter 23: [Fated Hero Of Darkness]
There was 100,000 people remaining in the capital all belonging to the empire's most skilled military units and soldiers.
Among them were skilled warriors that wielded all different kinds of Melee weapons,heavy artillery and even used stealth magic called known as the "The Araezia Champions "
There were also skilled assassins among them that were trained in the art of espionage they numbered around 1,500 men at Transcendental and 500 men at the Semi-Holy Knight realm. There were around 400 women at the Semi-Holy Knight realm clad in white magic cloaks and ninja or shinobi like clothing.
They had all been given the top secret information regarding Chaos and were told to start preparing immediately for this exact moment incase the worst happen.
The Magic Knight corps numbered around 60,000 by themselves, 48,000 being men at the pries realm some being Arch-Priest,Transcendental Priest, Semi-Holy Priest and there were even a few divine Priest.
They were 12,000 women at the Priestess realm, consisting of Holy Priestesses and Divine Priestesses clad in elegant magic cloaks some plain and some more luxurious than the others.
The Strategy Defense team numbered around 20,000 men and women at the Early and True Sage realms with a few being at the great stage with their leader at the peak stage, which were some of the highest realms a human could reach. Every single member had been tested on their ability to fight with defensive magic,combat or strategies and only the best passed.
The rest of the 18,100 men and women at the noble realm had become Royal Knights from the emperors choosing they were the most skilled, talented and versatile set of soldiers he could find in his entire empire and were his strongest and most deadly force capable of destroying a country on their own.
It was clear that there was still a hierarchy even among their military from the armor they where to the weapon they wield and even their rank as a soldier.
Some of the ladies were already settling in with their children taking them along to search for different herbs and spices in the nearby forest making sure to stay close to the group.
Since nobody knew how long this would take they were all very uncomfortable and distressed anyone could tell that they were displeased.
This world was not nearly advanced as earth although many technological ideas had been brought here by otherworlders many of them had to do with military or entertainment projects.
Since they had no tents or shelter and still had nowhere to sleep they couldn't relax, they were worried as they didn't know how long this alert would last and where they would have to sleep.
Some of the kids were becoming restless as well and did not like being outside around a crowd of people one could only imagine how much anxiety some of them must feel.
It would be better than the alternative though as Chaos was going to annihilate any one who remained inside the barrier besides the emperor and his family.
They should be thankful they were getting spared but yet they still complained because of thee "poor" conditions they were now facing.
A large built man with a intimidating aura surrounding him that stood around 2.5 meters tall towering over everyone walked up with a group from beyond the forest line.
He was clad in obsidian black armor wearing a magnificent crafted knights helmet that had silver a silver trim around the edges. It gave off a majestic and radiant glow, he was also sporting a luxurious red cape that was lined black around the edges and came down to his lower calves.
He spoke up loud and clear in a deep intimidating voice making some close by flinch at his sudden outburst.
"Once I find out what this barrier is made out of and who made it, I'll go through to defeat him, until the stay calm."
This iron-clad knight had the ability to sense peoples feelings, doubts and worries instantly, he cursed himself for frightening these all the citizens with his rather menacing tone.
"My apologies… My name is Azariah Lancaster. Everyone can can be at ease now. I'll lend you helping hand, it's a pleasure to meet you all."
Azariah went half of his life without knowing he was blessed although there were several incidents that happened that made him believe differently.
One of his several abilities that had been given to him being blessed by an an angel was the skill to understand all living things.
This wasn't just any angel he was blessed by though he is one of the only original archangels left who clung to power in heaven after The Great War Of Navalon.
This Archangels name and status head great importance he was the reaper of souls after all.
This angels name was Azrael,

Another skill Azariah had was the ability to use not just light magic but divine light magic as well which was way stronger by leaps and bounds.
The downsides of this blessing would also make him be used as a suitable vessel for the arch-angel in question.
"Woah no way?! Is that the legendary hero blessed by an archangel? I can't believe it!"
'What just happened? Who just used this spatial magic?! It looks like we're in the sacred forest though, I need to get back into that barrier or I'll miss my chance'.
'Huh? Who's the man in the black armor…A hero?!Don't tell that's who I think it is…'
Isabella walked up to the knight named Azariah with several long strides as if she were in some type of hurry.
Azariah had yet to notice her as he was talking to some of the citizens that had gathered around him.
Isabella walked up behind him and tapped him slightly on his shoulder.
He slowly looked back at Isabella causing her to step back a couple steps as the clang of Azariah's armor could be heard.
"Hey… Hero-Dono? Can I speak to you over here for a second?"
"Sure, no problem…" Azariah lowered his gaze at Isabella before motioning for her to follow him.
"Let's go over here… Well what is it?"
"Sorry for interrupting you, I just wanted to let you know that I'm a hero as well. My name is Isabella Envy and since I'm the personal servant of the emperor, I feel that it's my job to save these citizens in their time of need…"
"If it wouldn't inconvenience you, could you mind not interfering unless it becomes absolutely necessary?"
"Is that all? Sure thing Isabella-Dono. If you wish for me to not intervene in your mission then I won't, but reach out to me if you find yourself in any trouble, understand?"
"Yes thank you! You have my sincere gratitude Azariah-Dono, I'm glad we could come to an agreement."
"Listen up everyone! I am S-Rank hero serving under Lord William-Sama, I will take this task upon myself and find out what's going on in our nation!"
"You may all rest at ease for now. I will notify everyone when its okay for you to come back to your homes!"
'Man that was close… That hero is too strong, if he intervened now it would be trouble!'

"Is she really that reliable though? I don't know if I trust her completely, people say that she's a foreigner but don't even know where she's actually from…"

'Humans are truly exhausting… Always complaining about stuff they have no control or authority over. I need to get away from here...'
"Don't worry, I'll tell his majesty everything that's happened here today then wait for his orders on how I should assist all of you."
"Okay. We'll put our faith in you, even though you are an outsider. Please don't forget that… We are putting our trust in you!"
